mmmm I had an orgasmically good pear today. I voted for orange/clementine, apples (mmm a good apple), pears, persimmons (OMG try persimmons this winter, they are seasonal and AWESOME), and for very good peaches/nectarines you get late summer. mmm Persimmons. I would like to see mangos on here too, they are gooood. And..I've never had a really really good chermoya, but they were Mark Twains favorite fruit, and thats good enough for me Starfruits are kind of gross, not a meal like other fruits. And they cause kidney stones if you eat too many. |

What!? No durian? No guava? No mangoes, grapes, melons, or kiwi? My favorite fruit is figs, but they don't grow where I live and finding decent fresh ones when they are in season is never a sure thing. That's part of the reason I'm moving back to California. It's easier just to list the fruit I don't like: bananas. |

I buy the frozen pulp smoothie packets (got to have something frozen in the smoothie) and also add some freeze dried powder. Acai isn't very sweet either. Only 4 grams of carb and 2 grams of sugar for 100 grams of the frozen pulp. But the natural sugar of a banana is enough to make the acai smoothie taste woderful. I haven't tried the acai juice in a smoothie. I think those juice products are pasturized but I'm not sure. I like trying new superfoods and the fruits are usually better tasting then any green superfood product. | |
