Default I want to turn anorexic!!!!

well, not really.

I am breaking outtt!!! (well two pimples and alot of scarsss) and i need to look pretty for my birthday party which is in a week. \Should I just go on a water fast? how do i make it clear up before then? help please help. i don't want to eat anything except water, but its going to be soooo hard.

Hi Lighthecandle. Water fasts are very difficult and hard to maintain for longer that half a day without proper preparation.

But maybe you can try eating raw - raw food movement has been quite popular and there is lots of info on the web. The good thing is that you can literally stuff yourself with raw goodness and never be hungry and still shed kilos.

Another way of quickly loosing weight and improving your skin is cutting out ALL breads, cakes, sugars, diary and pasta from your diet and eating lots of salads, fruit, veggies and lean meat and fish. This is not as drastic as going raw, but helps to clear the skin and slim up!

Lightcandle,

I seriously hope you are not considering becoming anorexic. This may come off as common sense but I suggest washing your face multiple times daily, and watch as your skin improves. I also suggest perhaps meditating on this problem, focusing on cleansing your bodies impurities. Often times after I get a break out, I focus my energy to my face asking to rid my body of pimples.

Being anorexic is Hell. It is nothing to do with looking pretty, it destroys your body, your health and your life. I understand that you want to lose weight and have clear skin, but please bear in mind that anorexia has the highest death toll of any mental illness and is not something to talk about lightly.

Meditating clears up your skin?? What meditation can't do, I swear lol.

I haven't had a breakout in years.

Wash your hair. Greasy hair touching your face can cause a breakout. Sleep on a clean pillowcase. Watch how you sit. Are you leaning on a dirty hand? Make sure your hands are clean. How do you wash your face? What products do you use to wash them? I find that simple Dove soap works better for me than all of that fancy Nutrigena or Oxyclean stuff. Noxema is pretty good too. Make sure your face has moisture. Dr. Palmer's Skin Success is a good lotion for the face. It clears up scars too. Too much will lighten your face. A simple moisturizer works well too.

To squeeze or not to squeeze? I found that squeezing out a pimple didn't cause scarring, especially if a Q-tip with alcohol was applied soon after, but others say leave them alone or else they will scar up. You could try squeezing one and see the results.

Fasting or altering your diet can make your breakout worse before it gets better.

I have a feeling your pimples and scars aren't as noticeable as you believe them to be. Advertising would have you believe you must have model-perfect, unblemished skin - but I think most people prefer reality. You are a beautiful person! Don't let the condition of your skin convince you otherwise.

For me, the best way to relieve acne was tretonin cream. It really helps! You can get it from your derm.

Two pimples!? Unless you have the stereotypical-highschool-cheerleader-ohmygosh-becky "friends," no one is going to care. Besides, I think all this stress you're putting on yourself is worse for your skin than those two measly pimples.

My girlfriend has worse acne than you will ever have and she's more attractive to me than any model has ever been. Just relax and enjoy your birthday.

Im not anorexic but I sure as hell do have an eating problem. Unless you want to permanately feel like your going to throw up then I would suggest you keep eating normally.
