THere is great chance that THe fats that worsen your condition is human made damaged/heated vegetable oil (cooked with meat at high heat) and the trans fats used on fast food.

Since people do not consume raw meat nowdays.

What about some healthy fats found in primrose oil ?
I think it's going to be really really beneficial .

Two products that are essential for diabetics are Alpha-lipoic Acid (ALA) (200 to 600 mg daily depending on the severity of diabetes) and Evening Primrose Oil (EPO). ALA is a powerful antioxidant, decreases glucose and insulin levels, increases insulin sensitivity, decreases insulin resistance, decreases levels of glycosylation (HbA1c levels) and protects against nerve damage. EPO contains GLA, or gamma-linoleic acid, which acts as a synergist to ALA making it much more potent, and it has many of the same functions as ALA especially in protecting nerve function. I recommend taking 400 to 1000 mg of GLA daily. Take the two together. EPO is more economical in a liquid form.

Ginger works wonders for me and there's this Korean tea called bo ri cha that works really well in flushing out toxins in the body.

I had a bad habit of craving chocolate mid afternoon at work. I began to bring foods like apples, carrots and almonds which are all great to munch on. No more chocolate cravings! (well... most of the time)

as basic as this sounds - water. Seriously - I've cut out all soda and tea from my diet and I haven't felt this energetic in years.

I'll tell you, I do agree with Steve about the organic Fuji apples. The best apples out there are definitely those. I have one almost every day. Other foods I find beneficial are walnuts, almonds, and Puffins. Don't forget to have only water and maybe herbal tea as the only liquids you drink. I enjoy the occasional chamomile before bedtime. Soothes my spirit.

Recently I've been making more health conscious choices in terms of the foods I eat, and I can't begin to tell you the physical and mental benefits I've gotten out of it.

I've pretty much avoided processed food for about 80% of the time.. which has had the greatest impact.

Nevertheless, I found a great snack at the local COSTCO in the US.

It's called "Granola Snack Mix" and it contains: Rolled Oats, Honey, Canola Oil, Raisins, Dried Cranberries, Almonds, Walnuts, Cashews, Maple Syrup, Pumpkin Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Hulled Sesame Seeds as well as Flax Seeds.

The mix comes as nuggets in a plastic container and it's absolutely delicious not to mention healthy.

I've also found a valuable source of food in Sprouted lentils.. they're awesome.

I've switched to using organic milk after learning about all the hormones and antibiotics that dairy cows live on. Also, lots more water and protein shakes.
