Funny how we both didn't update this weekend Last night and this morning I had the pleasure to walk with Marina, and we discussed the future and what we'll be doing before this year ends. Love it!

Woke up feeling fresh today. That's because I drank a lot of water yesterday. If I had to name one downfall in my life it would be constantly forgetting to drink enough water to stay optimally hydrated. When I'm hydrated I get SUPER motivated and productive. Yes, I can always learn a new productivity technique, but I already know many of them, and I have so many reasons to stay motivated, so once I get my super fuel (water) there's no stopping me. Walk was a pleasure. BTW Steve Pavlina Interview just aired this morning.

Got my 35 minutes in. Reviewed a chapter in prob/stat while doing that. Didn't even realize that I went past 30 min, This is so easy I don't weigh myself very often, but I can really tell that I lost a little bit of weight in the past 10 days, thats a good bonus. |

| Glad you enjoyed it! Today I walked in NYC, which was well over 30 minutes. The weather wasn't ideal, but the city is still beautiful.

Walked yesterday in the afternoon, between writing articles and doing another interview for the Podcast. Today I got my final walk in before the 34lb Turkey that my family bought. Next year, if I haven't switched to a more vegetable diet I'm making a Turducken! =)

Not really participating, but today I decided to walk 10 kilometers to my home instead of taking the bus and then the train. Just felt like it, and it was great! Walking in the winter is incredible, it keeps you warm and the air is just amazing. I should walk more.

Day #15 I got a 30 minute walk in NYC, walking between a restaurant and lounge in the evening. Day #16 I walked 30 minutes after lunch. That always helps the food digest better. Day #17 It was a bit rainy so I walked around the gym circle while listening to my iPhone. Will be starting a new weight-lifting schedule soon.

Today I was taking the bus in NYC, and I had a phone call appointment. I hate talking on the bus and bothering people, so I got off and walked while doing my phone call. I've also done spin class two mornings in a row, and I get such a great feeling from it, I highly recommend it. I also have a special story about what happened to me while waiting on the bus that I'll be posting on the blog later this week.

Again 30 min on the treadmill. Between my study groups and both the kids being sick, not able to find the time during the day to go outside on a walk, so have been doing this on treadmill at home after the baby is asleep. Hopefully one of these days I will get a chance to enjoy a outdoor walk. Can't wait to read your special story Alex. |

Totally haven't upated. Luckily this isn't the only place I journal! #19 Today I walked in the evening, after having dinner. I love listening to the audio tapes when I walk, and it's always nice to walk after eating, because it feels like the food digests better. #20 Tonight I walked with Marina, upon arriving at her place. It was a lot of fun. We got to talk for awhile. #21 I walked before going out to dinner with Marina. We ended up eating at this little Italian place by her, which I never knew existed. The food was like 7 out of 10, which isn't bad considering I have high standards (even though I'm not that picky) and that it's a 3 minute drive. Now I know it's BYOB for next time. #22 I walked mid-day, after visiting a friend in Hoboken. Listening to Jim Rohn audio, which is a rerun of the oldies but goodies, as usual. #23 Walked in the evening, after being couped up in the car all day. I woke up 4:30am, drove to Boston, picked up 2 out of 4 of my nieces/nephews and drove right back to New Jersey. They're here now, so this should make for some fun walks with them. #24 Walked right before writing this with my niece and nephew, which reminded me that I've been a bad boy and haven't udpated my Steve Pavlina journal! Ahhh, nothing better than guilt to get you to do something! 6-more-days-to-go As it stands right now, it's getting pretty cold out, so after the 30 days, I think I'll stick to daily cardio at the gym. I'm doing the Build Muscle & Lose Fat Through Strength Training | StrongLifts.com program, which I'm thinking about modifying slightly to allow for more cardio throughout the week. I don't think it's really against cardio, it just suggests starting out with 15 minutes after lifting, and then going up 1 minute each exercise (which is 3 times a week). That's fairly reasonable.

Ouch, well, we both stopped updating this a few days ago. I have been walking every day, without a hitch. I also do other forms of cardio at least 4 days a week, but I still enjoy the walking habit very much. Whether I'm listening to the mp3 (just listened to 12 pillars by Jim Rohn today) or being with my own thoughts, I certainly do appreciate this 'appointment with myself' on a daily basis.
