Hi, I've been reading StevePavlina.com since 2004. I've been raw foodist for 6 months in 2005, since then a vegetarian, and now I'm 100% raw foodist for about three months. Steve had quite an influence on me lately, and this is why I would like to share with you something that might be useful for others too. Reading the last post about juicefeasting, exactly the day 11, I was hit by a coincidence. Well, there aren't really coincidences, but you know this already. The fact that in the last few days I had almost exactly the same symptoms of stress, panic and fear that Steve described in that post made me think if something. I don't do juicefeasting now, nor do I intend to, but I had a three months raw food diet. I am still on that diet now, even if I ate on two occasions cooked food (including meat) but that's another problem, related to the stress and negative emotions on the last two-three days... What if the detox - the process of eliminating toxins - could be also collective? What if the world is really moving in the right direction now, with more and more people starting to live their lives consciously, and take responsibility for their acts? What if the explosion of joy I saw after the elections would be genuine? That process of becoming a healthier person involve some heavy detox. Some negative emotions purge. And I guess those emotions are just released in the air somehow. In that case, some of the people, especially those with an increased sensitivity, would feel the impact of such a massive collective detox in a very hard way. And, following the same path, that would be something that we need to pass through, to experience, in order to become a healthier collectivity. So, I encourage Steve in his challenge, although I really don't understand why he's doing this now. I totally understand the concepts behind raw food, but juice feasting is a little bit over the edge for me now. But it seems this challenge is increasing his sensitivity and that's generally a good thing. Maybe this type of thinking, that there is a massive collective detox - regardless of its validity - will make him go through the challenge easier. Maybe we are going through a massive collective detox... |

I don't want to offend anyone, but the collective detox is happening already. What if not a "detox" are earthquakes and lava explosions, floats .. I don't like them-don't misunderstand me, but I like the idea of explaining them as Mother Earth detox, because of what people do to her. Sometimes the space needs to start over again. Flush itself of the accumulated THINGS, Feeling, angriness. This is just an idea. |

Yes, Rawvolta, that could be also a massive detox activity. But what I felt was more like the result of a positive flow, a healing process of the human layer, which needs to let go all the accumulated negativity. And that could make some of us directly experience those floating, expunged, toxic emotional cells. The way you are perceiving is more like a defensive activity of the Earth in front of violence, which is not quite the same. |

Hyperchiller: natural disaster are just so easy to spot by everyone. They're visual, auditive and are damaging the physical universe in a very clear way. And I totally agree with you. It must be stopped... But emotionally detoxing at a community level is something a lot more subtle, not so easy to understand or feel by everyone. And a lot more important, because it is affecting all the community's parts... |

I understand you, Edragonu. By saying what I've said I didn't mean that this is the only way that the detox is happening. I was a part of lots of subtle detox activities, I might say. In communities, in sweat lodges. The two of them ( negative and positive ) can't exist one without the other, that's how the TOTAL BALANCE takes place. By seeing more of catastrophes , people increase their search of healing acts ( mother earth, themselves, others ). On a personal level it cam happen after a car accident, when a being is gaining some insight or some healing properties. One lives in a symbiosis with the other. In option trading it is called resistance vs. support. They either grow together or shrinken, using the same level of stability , but one grows out of other's resistance level and becomes it's support. Am I confusing you? ;-) Anyways, I can't imagine that earth is just one happy place, with no disasters ( although I wish we could exist like so ), simply because people usually get bored of happiness also..and they do some type of revolts from time to time, and then NATURE takes action by.maybe punishing them or just YELLING : STOP, LOOK WHAT HAVE YOU DONE! AS David Wolfe says : It is getting better even if It is getting worse ! |
