Default Suddenly some small wounds in my mouth. What's happening?

The last week I've had three small wounds appearing in my mouth. I don't know what is going on. I rarely have even one.

I don't have a lot of stress. I've been eating more vegeatbles and fruit. I've changed my toothbrush and toothpaste, and now I'm using mouth water to rinse.

Even though I'm doing a ll these things a new one a appeared.

Any ideas?

Joe, I am having the same thing. I am about 3 months into a 50% raw 50% cooked vegetarian.

I have one nagging ulcer on the roof of my mouth towards the back...

Does anyone know why this is?

Is it on your gums? then check at a dentist. A tooth might be infected in the rooth. (I had that)

In the mouth like in the backside of your cheek, I do not know.
I have one which comes up some mornings and goes again 2 hour later.

Let somebody tell us what it is,

I think you would benefit from more meat in your diet.

I am open to that suggestion, any reason, or data to support this?

Actually It is sort of a joke, I raise cattle and am one of the few pro-meat people who post here, I just thought it ironic that I was just posting in a thread that extolled the health benefits and spiritual superiority of veganism and here are 2 people with ulcers in their mouth that are vegan/raw eaters.

On a more serious note, there are many possible causes for oral ulcers, just a few, stress, lowered immunity, antibiotic use, poor diet, drinking acid.

Super high sugar intake will deteriorate the gums. How much fruit are you eating?

My intuition tells me that the uptake in sugary and or acidic fruits may have caused this.

Thing is, I have gotten these before and they go away in a couple days, but this one is stubborn.

I eat zero processed sugars. But still the citric acid ,and naturally occurring sugars could cause this I suppose.

Personally, my fruit intake is usually in my green smoothie. Which the fruit I put in varies daily anything from half a mango, to 1/2 a cup of blueberries, to a banana or two. I will also usually put a little orange juice in there, but usually no more than a cup.

Try a little organic coconut oil. It has antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial properties and is good for many things that ail you. It is worth a try - inexpensive, positive side effects, good for your skin.

Here's one of many informative sites: Organic Facts - Health Benefits of Coconut Oil

Another excellent curative is oregano oil but it will sting-will cure but it is 4 or 5 times as expensive as the coconut oil.

Where are the wounds?
Have your heard about Spleen Qi Deficiency? I can't find the right links to it now but I remember reading that eating cold/uncooked foods (i.e raw foods) when you have a weak spleen can cause problems like this (but paticularly on the tongue)

Guess I wasn't very clear in my startpost. I eat a 'normal' diet so meat, grains, eggs, fish, veggies, fruit the whole shebang.

Thinking about it more I think my problems have started by eating 'sambal' (a spicy Southeast Asian condiment made, in its simplest form, from chile peppers and salt).

It seems like it is getting a bit better today.

What helped me was using a soft toothbrush, not eating hard foods, drinking milk, mouth rinse and I use a toothpaste for sensitive gums.

I expect I'll be back to normal in a couple of days.

Thanks everybody for the comments and I'll be posting back if this doen't clear up.

Could be irritation to mild chemical burns from extremely acidic or spicy foods.

I had a friend talk me into trying a "Rockstar" energy drink the other day. I swear my whole mouth hurt the rest of the day, and it wasn't from the sugar.

Do not rule out the possibility of the herpes virus. It's far more common than people think, and 60% or more adults may be exposed. A person can be asymptomatic for quite a long time and stress or other sickness triggers an outbreak.
