I came across this because a friend of mine wants one. Sleeptracker the Unique Alarm Clock, Wake Up Easier - Sleeptracker the Sleep Watch is a watch that supposedly monitors your sleep stages and wakes you up at an optimal time. Good concept but to my knowledge there is no way to ensure you wake up at a set time each day. I would love to hear Steve's thoughts on this. I personally think this is crazy but am always open to the opinions of others. Thanks, Neal |

I have it and it's pretty cool. I've heard some complaints that the alarm noise is a bit on the soft side but it has always waked me up fine. For the most part, the technology does work, which is not surprising cause it's based on a very simple concept -- that you make small movements in light stages of sleep (which you do, even though you don't know it), which differentiates it from REM and deep sleep. Please don't go using the "wake up at the same time every day" as dogma. Humans went 2.5 million years without alarm clocks. |

Thanks for your input. I made the "same time every day" comment just simply because I'm an early rise and get a lot more done this way. I know others on the forums probably do the same. What is the time range that the clock goes off every morning (i.e. 20 minutes, 30 minutes, etc.)? Thanks, Neal |

Hi, I have (actually had) one. It works up to a certain point but I am not sure how much of this can be attributed to the placebo effect. I used it and turned into an early riser for a couple of weeks. Then I slipped. I looked for more better gadgets. Bought an even more expensive model called Axbo. But suddenly I realized. Hey, I could get up for some weeks at 5 am every day. My body can handle this. I am not genetically programmed not to get up before 9 |
