Personal Development for Smart People Mastermind Group (Healthy Eating) Hello Everyone! I've spent the last four or five years not really knowing what to eat so I've decided to get this area handled once and for all.... ...this face closely resembles how I look when I think of my current diet ...and this is how I would like my face to look like once I've got my diet in order So put simply I want to get from this face Savvy? You see I am very keen to do whatever it takes to get my diet, eating patterns and habits to a much heathier and more intelligent place and I'm keen to get others involved with this process yet my family and almost all of the people I know couldn't give a monkeys about improving their diets. When I have spoken to those I know about diet and personal development in general many look at me as if I'm from another planet This can be really frustrating when you have so many enthusiastic ideas and goals and yet there isn't anybody there to share them with It took me a while to figure out that anything that I want to accomplish will come to fruition in a lot less time and effort if I move forward alongside people who have similar goals to my own. Doing something like this is always much more fun and enjoyable when it's with like minded people. So I figured that there might be people on this area of the forum that would like to join me in moving towards a better health and diet, If so then any posts made over the next four weeks would be greatly appreciated by myself and anyone else who follows this thread. I will be posting pretty much incessantly every day between the Sat 20th Sep and Sat 18th Oct so if anything catches your eye then pwetty please drop a post. If you REALLY like the look of how I am approaching this goal and would like to get fully get involved then let me know and I'd be happy to exchange msn, email etc to get the most out of this! I'll be back with another post shortly once I've got a clear goal and workable plan to achieve it and I'll put it up for all to see so for some this may be a useful guide. However, this isn't going to be a perfect written goal at all and it will evolve over time so if anyone has any thoughts on ways I can improve it please say what you feel could be better.... So for now I'll be off and probably catch up with some of you soon. Many thanks Mr Man |

Hello again, So just to outline what I am doing in a mission statement type thing... Over the next four weeks (Sat 20th Sep - Sat 18 Oct) I am going to take steps towards giving my body a considerably better intake of nutrients that will allow my body to be as healthy as possible and to work as well as it can. I'm sure everyone will have different reasons for improving their diets but for me personally my reasons driving my actions... I choose to have the energy that will come from a good diet to do the things I enjoy I choose to have the looks and physique that will come from a good diet I choose to have the feeling that comes with setting out to achieve something and sticking at it and I choose to have all the feelings that goes along with having given my body a flexible, varied and balanced diet it deserves! Next step...MY PLAN |

Ok, So I've put down what it is exactly that I want and the reasons why I am after it.... My Plan 1. Get down a list of all the foods I would ideally like in my diet. These are the foods that are going to cover the essential vitamins and minerals that I would like to consume on a day to day basis. (From what I've researched there are 50 essential nutrients so my ideal choice of foods needs to cover these) 2. Budget how much I can afford to spend on my diet each week taking into consideration my income and expenditures. 3. Choose foods from my ideal list that I can have in my diet and make this goal a practical achievable outcome. 4. Choose what meals/snacks I can create from the foods I have chosen taking into consideration the taste factor! Consider the number of set meals and snacks, breakfast choices etc I will need for the week. 5. Arrange my meal and snack choices into a weekly meal plan ...Thats my plan for now. If I get started on this and post as I go! |

I'd be interested, but I'm questioning the alignment with power. I mean nothing offensive with that--I just see a lack of "results" here. Feel free to prove me wrong! But then, conveying something is hard in text, so I'll keep an open mind. Are we able to "try before we buy" (into the group)? I'm super-picky when it comes to what I invest in, so I'd like to check it out first. Of course, I'll do this by diving in and trying it, but yeah, I need to make sure the people and the approach resonates with me. Me = a conscious, holistic approach to health where you are aware and consider what you put in your mouth, on your body, and around your body. I'm mainly aiming for health as a result of what I eat, not so much health as some goal to reach. You'll aim for the goal and never get there. I prefer to just eat health and let it actually occur. Otherwise known as a result-oriented approach. PM me if you want to move things along. I'm unlikely to check this thread, although I will subscribe to it so I get infrequent updates. |

MrMan, I just thought of a good way to see if I'd mesh with the groug (I think relative resonance is important for a mastermind group). Here's what I came up with: Can you please define "smart people" for me? Your answer should be very telling. Words usually have definitive meanings (well, sort of), but when you join words together to form terms, they can mean all sorts of things (especially in the personal development world). (You may notice I'm rigorously logical and specific. This is intentional. Limiting, perhaps, but with specificity comes alignment. Alignment = important. You could say it's an integral part of my business model.) |
