Stella, congrats! I just started my 30 day trial and you are really inspiring. I hope you stay mostly raw and I hope when I'm finished with the 30 days, I'll stick with being raw too and won't feel the need to binge on cooked things. |

With regard to the your concerns about not getting it together to go raw again, I'll just share my own experience with that. I've gone raw a few times in my life, and I ALWAYS remember how wonderful I feel when I' m doing it. It's like something you just don't forget. And I always want to go back to it. I've read other raw foodists have experienced a similar thing. Mary Jane | |

Hi Everyone, Well I made my 30 days and am onto my second 30 days!! I had an hour or so where I almost had the curry I fantasize about. I had not really committed to a second month at the time. but luckily I invented a recipe that saved me. Here it is. Blend up raw broccoli, tomatoe, avocado (slightly more broccoli than everything else) with mint, european parsley, lemon juice and garlic. It is so delicious and satisfying. I was trying to work out how to get more broccoli into me. So my new mission is 30 days Raw food with.... 2 green meals a day (ie the food looks green) as well as drinking a minimum of 2 litres of water a day. I need to make more of an effort to do these 2 things and so far I have felt 100% better. Quote:

Hi All, Hey drinking enough water makes a huge difference! I know you probably think "Well derrr" but it has been the hardest thing for me because of my work situation. But anyhow a bit of determination goes a long way and I feel 100%. Recipe of the week Fresh Corriander, avocado, tomatoe lemon juice garlic broccoli blended together. Use a big bunch of corriander so it is a deep rich colour. Yum. Also ground up walnuts with capsicum and dates is delicious. I am thinking of having a raw food dinner party to educate my friends. Any suggestions on what to feed them?? My energy is pretty fantastic. I got a new gym program from a personal trainer. That gave me a boost as well. Have fun and I will keep you spasmodically posted. Hello, Just a quick update. I had my first cooked meal last weekend. 4 days ago. It was a small japanese meal in a restaurant..just fish and rice and nori and soya sauce. The next day I had curry. It felt like a total feast loved it!! Sluggish the next day. I thought I would go raw during the week now such a good habit and eat maybe 1 cooked meal on the weekend if out with friends or something. Nothing radical and "junky". I was glad to be able to have a bit of coooked food without binging till I was sick. Talk soon Stella |

Stella, I'm really interested to hear how going back and forth between cooked and raw foods works for you. I can quite get my head around doing 100% raw as it would be extremely socially limiting in my location so a more moderate approach sounds really appealing! Currently I'm doing raw for breakfast - usually a banana, strawberry, spinach smoothie or just bananas. It keeps me full for a long time and I feel a bit better, so I'm thinking about increasing the raw to cooked ratios in my diet. |

Hello Fabulous Ones, Have not posted here for a while. I did go another 30 days raw. After that was seduced by Japanese cooking, and from there to feeding my emotions and cravings rather than my body. 2010 is my year of Raw!! Yay!! This first week has, I must say, not been enjoyable. Out of practise, forgetting about the sheer amount of food I need to consume in order not to float away with the fairies. Today is day 8 and finally feeling something close to normal. I will post a new thread. 2010 my year of raw. Catch me there Love to all Stella |
