Default Dealing with an upper respiratory infection

I've been out of work since Wednesday. Have been having some bouts with sinusitis this year and two ear infections.

Right now I have an upper respiratory infection. Went to the doctor the other day, fever was 100.6°. I'm 5'9 195 pounds, my weight has stayed the same for the most part. Currently taking Levaquin 500mg and Robitussin Chest Congestion Expectorant (Guaifenesin syrup). Drinking lots of water. Last night I went into a coughing fit for 15 minutes that stopped after I took both the syrup and sinus headache medication at the same time. I generally take vitamins too. Anything you knowledgeable folk might want to share that could help me? I'm due to go back to work on Monday.

Thanks so much.

Make some water boil and a add some salt (sea salt) to it.
Let it cool down for a while. Rinse your nose with it a few times during the day.

What can help as well.
Buy ethereal oil of tea tree. Boil water, do it in a recipient where you can hold your head above, add like 5 drops of the tea tree oil to the water, hang your head above the recipient and inhale the vapor through your nose....about 10 minutes.
Twice a day.
You may also do some drops of this oil on your pillow before you go to bed.
Repeat it during a few days.
Hope it helps for you.

Are you congested, or do you just have an infection...?
