Yeah, use fresh juice. Not the pasteurized stuff. You can buy a juicer on Amazon for like $50 and it's worth it. And buy organic! No pesticide ingestion. Organic orange-carrot juice is unbelievably delicious. |

Definitely make your own juice. Pasteurized store-bought juices (even the naked kind) are dead and lifeless. Pasteurization = cooking. Fresh juice keeps the enzymes intact and tastes much better too. Off to make some juice for breakfast... |

Hello all! This is my first post. I was searching for info on this exact topic and found this forum. I am doing a Naked Juice fast right now. I drink one for each meal (9am, 1pm, 6pm) and have plenty of water throughout the day. I'm currently on day 4. It works out to be less then I would spend on food daily ($11.25) and I can pick a variety of flavors. The drinks may be considered expensive if being purchased with other food items but on their own I disagree. Its a meal for under 4 dollars, normally buying breakfast would cost 5-7 bucks. I chose this method because unfortunately I don't have time to be making juice every day for each meal. So far Ive enjoyed the results. I'm sure buying a juicer and going and getting organic fruits and veggies is a better idea but its not practical for some people like myself. |

It depends on what you're goals are, but regardless, you will get very little health benefits from pasteurized. The best thing to do if you can't do full juicing is to find a way to create very simple ones and make large quantities so you don't have to do it often. You can blend up the ingredients with water and use a strainer bag to create a juice. You can get a cheap juicer and only use a couple of ingredients. You can use a citrus juicer, which is simple to make juice and simple cleanup. You can take something like dried goji berries, which have very high nutrients, and soak them to create a juice. If you do any that are mainly fruit they work best by adding some type of minerals to them such as fresh greens/lettuce, celery or a green supplement. You can even do a smoothie fast instead of a juice one and reap a lot of benefits. Many options.
