Default mangoes?

are mangoes fattening? I'm trying to go onto a raw foods diet, I hope to lose some weight, and I love mangoes... also are bananas fattening?

Thanks.

No, they are not fattening.

You have my expressed permission to eat bananas and mangoes as much as you want.

Now go forth and eat!

Seriously, they're fine. Just eat lots of raw vegetables, too. If you're worried about sugar, make green smoothies with bananas, mangoes, and spinach or kale.

You can get fat from any food if you eat enough of it! Fruit has high levels of sugar and so is potentially fattening, whereas vegetables have much less. The only fruit I am aware of that does actually contain relatively high levels of fat (oil) are avocados and olives. If I was on a diet to lose weight, I would keep fruit to a minimum and focus on vegetables, salad and pulses.

Confucius say - Everything in moderation

If you eat 7400 bananas in a day everyday for several months, I'd hazard at a guess that you'd put on weight from that. Eating several a day wouldn't do anything since they are fruit and also good for you
