CroMagna has a spectacular aura aboutCroMagna has a spectacular aura about
Default 30 day trial: fruits and vegetables only

For the next thirty days, from Sunday July 06, 2008 at 2:00 pm until Tuesday, August 5th at 2:00 pm, I will be eating nothing but fruits and vegetables. I will post everyday what I ate and how I felt about the day. I read Steve's article about motivational peaks, so I know my motivation to do this is at its highest right now. So I will have to use this day to set everything in motion so it will be easy to follow through. So I will research interesting fruit and veggie dishes and purchase 30 days worth of fruit and vegetable dishes. That way I won't have to worry about anything for the next thirty days, I can just eat pre-planned meals. I will do some exercise just for health and circulation, but it will not be an enforced priority.

My last non-fruit or veggie meal will be at noon today. I will eat a medium well New York strip steak, bread and butter, and a baked potato, prepared by my wonderful boyfriend who is a chef. I will save the salad to be dinner, my first veggie meal.

Wish me luck. Maybe this will be an inspiring and helpful resource for others.

You may not want to purchase 30 days worth of fruit and veggies all at once (maybe a week at a time?), they will probably not be so great by day 30 (especially if you live in a humid region).

Other than that, GOOD LUCK! and I will keep an eye on your posts to maybe get some ideas for good fruit/veggie dishes.

Day 1: Monday, July 7.

Breakfast: I skipped it because I accidentally left the house with the wrong dish. I thought I had grabbed a salad, but I had grabbed a plate of rice, beans, and yuca. I ate one small yuca and discarded the rest. No breakfast.

Lunch: Pretty delicious tomato basil soap, bread, and caesar salad with no chicken.

Dinner: Lettuce, tomato, corn, beans, and hot sauce from Chipotle. Delicious.

I'm surprised at how easy Day 1 was. I didn't realize there were decent hot foods that are only fruits and veggies.

bread?

Good luck CroMagna! You're awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing how you'll be doing.

Oh and I'm curious, too: can you tell us why exactly you're doing this?

if you buy 30 days worth of fruits and vegetables in advance, I'm sure by about day 25 your dinner will be more suitable for fear factor than consumption.

good luck. always interesting to see how sudden extreme change impacts you.

I've been thinking about doing this too, but what's with the bread?!

Anyway good luck, I'll be following your progress.
