Default Gain weight healthily

Hey all,

I always was a skinny guy (now 54kilos/119pounds for 1m80/5,9ft) and I'd like to gain some weight to have a healthier look.
My digestion is somehow bad, and even if I try to force myself to eat a lot, I only manage to gain some fat on my belly.
So what would you recommand to gain weight and to improve my digestion, but still staying on a healthy way ?

You basically have to do whatever you're doing that makes you gain weight on your belly, but work out while you do it -- so the new weight distributes where you want it to.

Have you used kettlebells? They are pretty much where it's at.

  • Weight training
  • Whole foods
  • Fruit and vegetables
  • Apple cider vinegar (for digestion)

Before you do any of that, though, you should first research it yourself and probably check with a good doctor to find it any of that is agreeable with whatever conditions you may have.

Consider those above items pointers for areas to explore, but remember: you lie in the bed you make (meaning if you, say, end up guzzling apple cider vinegar--which I don't recommend you do at all--you have to deal with the consequences of your choices).

Hey Dan and thanks for your answer.
What I did to gain belly fat was to eat a lot of unhealthy crap, like tons of pizza, sodas and other sugar-filled things, so even if I was gaining weight, I was feeling like **** all day-long and had no energy to do anything, that's why I'm asking how to gain weight healthily.

Yep -- what Bruce said, eat whole foods and fruits and vegetables if your diet is the issue.

I love having protein as a snack while living out of my dorm room. It's very healthy, and good for muscle building. Not many calories, and not many carbs if you can find a good one.

I go with Optimum Nutrition, the chocolate flavor mixes and tastes great.

I agree about eating healthy...i.e. brown rice, fresh fruits, fresh veggies, try to increase your dose of coconuts and nuts/seeds, etc....but I would recommend that you have your largest meal at nighttime. Simply because you wouldn't really have the opportunity to burn it off. If you eat before you sleep, this should helps.

Also, try to do some weight training to bulk up your muscles. You will feel stronger and will appear bigger...but again in a healthy way.

I heard that it's best not to have to large meals before sleep, because you won't digest food right anyway, so your comment here is intriguing me.
What do other people think about this ?

Try taking enzymes with your larger meals if you are having trouble digesting food. Also, star hitting the weights and your appetite should start increasing naturally.
