Default Anyone tried Medicine Ball Training?

Folks,

I have been doing 5 day weight training routine, with one area trained per day -legs/chest/back/shoulders/arms - in that respective order and two days off for a while and have bulked up. I have stretched afterwards but found lag recovery and work commitments leading to non -existence of aerobic training.
Recently I have read upon medicine ball and am considering purchasing a 10kg as a result. My question is can it reasonably replace "proper" weight resistance training and give me a full work out and allow me to incorporate aerobic training on my other days as I will probably train one day off and one day one?

Any frank opinion much appreciated....

Rgds

Medicine Ball training has always been for me more of a supplemental training. In addition to the rest of my workouts.

I wouldn't say it will replace your main strength routine but it will definetly add variety.

I would recommend looking into Ross Enamait ebooks. Those have been great. Completely rechanged my routine after I read some of his stuff.

Good luck.

I do a few medicine ball exercises to add variety to my workouts. You might like a few from the Crossfit exercise site. Some of them, like the medicine bell clean, might require more than 10kg if you are in good shape.

My wife is currently in a weight training class. She decided to try a medicine ball class as well. She quickly noticed that she found a whole new "set of muscles" that the regular weight training didn't find. Soreness galore... but's that's a good thing!
