Default I have lost A LOT of weight, but, still need help...

Hi all! Jeremy here. Thanks for allowing me on this board. Check out my "mini-bio" under the "Introductions" thread.

Anyway, basically, in the past 1.5 years, I have went from 315 to 243. That has caused my waist to go from a size 54-56 to a 42 or so. You can see pictures of my progress at :
MySpace

Anyway, I attribute it all to a miraculous touch of God. He touched me, and within a few weeks, several lbs started just disappearing. In fact, on the night of April 20, 2007, I went to bed weighing 296, and woke up the next morning weighing 290, with the same clothes and no bathroom visits.

Anyway, should anyone inquire, I'd be more than happy to give the details. I broke MANY rules of weight loss, but, today, there is much less of me to love,(which makes it easier to love me, by the way.)

Anyway, I finally joined the gym, and have a regular monthly membership. I have had 2 goes of it. The first one lasted 2.5 weeks, and I quit going. I started again last week and went for 3 days, but, quit again.

What can I do to stay motivated?

How can I lose my "baby fat gut"?

Jeremy

Congrats on the weight loss Jeremy!!

I'd suggest taking it slow w/ the gym. I've noticed a lot of people start out at the gym going full force and then get sore, burned out, and quit within a week or two. To avoid that happening to you again, I'd suggest you:

- set goals
- make a schedule
- make a workable routine
- get a gym buddy
- offer yourself 'treats' after you reach certain goals
- start slow, walk then jog then run....

Best of luck to you!!

I'll second this. It's important to start slowly and work into your routine, both to avoid injury, and to avoid suffering (which will prevent you from going back).

Likewise, you want to find an exercise routine that doesn't bore you to tears, so your more likely to stick with it. If you can find an athletic activity you actually enjoy, go with that one!

Can I ask what you do at the gym, and what your schedule was like when you were going?

Have you tried using meditation or (better) hypnosis? Have a look at the Silva Method - it's famous, well tested and really does work.
