Default Dangers of mobile phone and wifi radiation - new study

I personally never believed the radiation was a real danger but this just got published today:

Translated version of http://www.zibb.nl/10231843/Nieuws/Nieuwsbericht/Verontrustende-studie-gsm-straling.htm

Sounds pretty alarming I thought.

This study was conducted on rats and the article says an earlier study of 2800 people showed no relation between a typical tumor and the intensity of the use of a mobile phone.

No reason for concern because of this study I would say.

I don't think torturing the rats proves anything. rats don't have the benefit of a thick cranium to protect them.

Still its a thought though that if you have a problem with mice leave your mobile turned on around the house and boost your wifi signal and mice die of cancer .. problem solved

"16 out of 17 rats he examined died of tumors"

I'd like to see more data.

Here's the original article as it appeared in a Belgium newspaper.

I've been using cell phones for 10+ years and I have no sign of a brain tumor. So, I'm not really worried about it.

There seem to be just as many studies saying cell phones are a cancer risk as there are studies saying they're safe. It seems to me that if one chooses their phone wisely and doesn't use it excessively, the risk should be quite minimal.

I expect that we'll also see more and more phones designed to limit the emissions that escape in the direction of one's head while using the phone.
