Default Starting a 12 week trial

Decided to up the diet and exercise stakes and go with a program I have seen on a website I read quite a bit.

Program is here Bodybuilding.com - Your Transformation Guide - Your 12-Week Video Transformation Guide - Video Main Page.

Looks ok and not too difficult time wise to stick to.

I have finally organised some annual leave so I will be away from work to start the trial so I can focus on it without too many distractions.

Wouldn't mind some opinions on what people think of the program, I'll keep my progress updates here. Halfway through day 1 and im cooking my second meal now, dry fried chicken thigh (no fat) and some steamed vegies. This morning I had poached eggs on dry multi-grain bread. Walked for the cardio, down to the shop to get a new tube for my bike.

I watched the last video in the series which kind of recapped the whole program and it looks great. I hope you stick to it, you'll be very happy with yourself if you do.

Good luck.

Well day 1 was a bit of a bust. I had a kids birthday party on and I just couldn't resist those little spring rolls and the gym was closed by the time it finished.

Back on the horse again today.

I must have bought the wrong tube for my bike as it popped last night. Back to the store today. I think I'll go straight to the gym when it opens.

well I was sore yesterday. I warmed up at the gym for 5 minutes on the treadmill. I think I need to do some lighter reps before jumping into the heavier stuff this time.
Certainly a lot of water in the nutrition thing.

If you're doing heavy weights I'd suggest the rowing machine would provide a better warm up than the treadmill. The treadmill gets your heart pumping but it doesn't do much to stretch your muscles.

thanks for that viscapes. I was going to do a few lightweight warm up sets before hitting the heavier weights but the rower could well be a much better alternative.

nutrition plan is difficult to remember and follow, with a busy day i forget to eat the meals in the plan, i don't think I have got it right yet.
I'll keep working on it.

Like the trainer in the video says, it's all about preparation. If you can prepare all your meals for the coming two or three days it should make things a little easier. If you've prepared the meals but simply forget to eat them, maybe an alarm on your watch or your cell phone will help get you into the routine.
