| So I just bought some new toys, to help me live a better life:
(I haven't received the kitchen sink water filter yet) The Clarisonic is like the Sonicare, except for cleaning your skin/face. Aimed more for females, but who cares if it gives me cleaner, healthier, better skin yeah? Only used it a few times, but it seems nice I had an older Sonicare, which was awesome, but the newest model is top of the line, and is very, very nice. Hands down recommended, makes your teeth more clean than anything else, and you'll be licking em just to feel how smooth they are. JUST used my Blendtec yesterday, and I love it! It's going to come in so useful with the billion things you can do with it. Defiantly going to help me eat healthier. Shower filter is soo nice. For $50 you can have a super nice shower experience. The water FEELS softer and cleaner, and so does your skin and hair when you get out. Your skin is the biggest organ on your body, and you can absorb more water from a steamy shower than drinking water (so I heard). So worth it too. Haven't got this yet, but tried it before and if I remember correctly, it was very nice water. So. How about everyone else? What little pieces of technology do you use to live a healthier life? I'd love to hear about them!

| The Vita-Mix is my #1 health gadget. I've owned one since 1994. It's expensive but well worth the price. In a typical day, I use it 2-4 times. Yesterday I used it to make a couple banana-cacao shakes, raspberry-tahini salad dressing, and banana ice cream. My family also used it for other things. It's the one gadget we continue to use no matter what diet we're on -- it's incredibly versatile.

| My favorite piece of health equipment is my 6.5' tall, 17' diameter, geodesic dome. So much fun to climb on and get a great upper body workout and also can do chin-ups, reverse sit-ups, dips, and some great stretches. Gotta second Steve on the Vita-Mix, it is a great blender. I like my Berkey water filter pretty well, and they make a shower filter as well, though I haven't bought one yet.

We have a little Vita-Mix museum in our house. My hubby had an older model, and the newest model, and I had an in-between model. The newest one gets used just about every day for breakfast smoothies. Hubby uses it to grind wheat berries for bread, and to make the bread dough. Never tried to make nut butter with it. Before we had our Green Star juicer, we used to make fresh green drinks with the Vita-mix using collard greens, celery, spinach, dandelion greens etc. Might go back to that again. They were a bit thick and sometimes hard to drink, but they felt really good to the body. Coffee grinder for flax seeds. Sonicare toothbrush. Water Filters. Can't remember their names. We have a canister style that's fitted into an old Vita-Pur system, and we use a shower filter, and I use a ball filter for the bath. I'm curious about the Clarisonic. Clearer, better, healthier skin sounds pretty good.
