Question Early To Bed?

have seen lots of posts and articles here about developing the habit of early rising.

Default Do what feels right

As long as you're happy with the way you are functioning, and the fewer hours of sleep aren't causing any major health problems, I say don't worry about it. In fact, I've read that insomnia is often caused by people trying to sleep too long during the night when they don't really need to.

A few months ago I switched to a biphasic sleep routine, which lets me do exactly that. I take a nap in the evening, then stay up to 2-3am, and get up at 7am or so. If you don't need that much sleep, you could easily slice 90 minutes or so off this.

One of the major benefits of doing this is an increase in the quality of sleep. I feel more refreshed now from less sleep, which is wonderful.

purpleflower,
I can sympathize with your experience a little, though both of mine were sleeping through the night at about 2. Nonetheless, I'd go to bed later and get up earlier "knowing" that they'd wake up soon enough anyway....
