I am currently taking the meal replacement EOS myoplex deluxe. It tastes ok. I am looking for one that tastes better. Any suggestions?

Taste is a matter of personal opinion. Asking someone else which tastes the best FOR YOU is like asking someone else which movie YOU'LL like best. YOU have to try out different ones.

Blechhh. I hate myoplex. But I love Pro-Complex Whey Protein (60g protein) and also Spiru-tein.

Why should I replace my meals? I hate to bring up comparisons to animal world, but do animals replace their meals? And what is a meal replacement anyway?

For me, I never feel like having a traditional breakfast -- it makes my stomach feel oogy. But I want to have nutrition, especially since I work out in the morning. So I will have a protein shake (water or soy milk, fruit, protein). Sometimes I have a shake in the mid-afternoon, too or right after a workout (just water and protein and ice) as a snack because it leaves me feeling good and refreshed.

(And now I steel myself for the onslaught of objection from the Food People!)

They mean well. They want everyone to be responsible and vital, I'm sure. I appreciate that.

Well, I really, really like food and think it probably is best to eat actual, whole foods when possible. But I can't eat before or after a workout without getting really sick. So a smoothie-like meal replacement thingy is a good idea. I mean, if that's all you did all day was drink those I'd think maybe one of the food people should take you aside and talk to you, but...

What about one that's not made with animal protein? Any good tasting ones like that (maybe that spirutein is one)?

I think the Kashi Golean tastes pretty good. It contains with soy protein - no animal protein. I like to mix it with almond milk, a little almond butter, ground flax seeds and some fruit. When I need something more decadent/treat like, I'll add cocoa powder or dark chocolate chunks. The chocolate is especially good with frozen cherries.
