Default Paleo Diet did wonders for my health!

I started a 30 Day Trial using the Paleo Solution as my guide. Here is my day three report, you won't believe what three days can do, check it out and let me know what you think. Joseph Bothwell

Default Looking for help starting the paleo diet gluten free because I have celiacs

My name is Cameron, Im 20 years old and I live in dorms at college. I am 5'9", weigh 145 lbs and I recently found out I have celiacs disease and I am lactose intolerant. I have been on a gluten free diet for a few months now and I have put some weight back on but I don't feel healthy, I've been loading up on carbs and consuming 2000+ calories daily to put on weight. A friend told me about the paleo diet, so I did some research and have decided to try to commit myself to this diet. My short term goals are to add muscle, bulk up, and get 6 pack abs During the school year, I eat mostly at the school cafeterias, but I haven't been going to the gym that much because I don't feel I have enough energy and I'm always hungry. I've been taking creatine mono hydrate powder and drinking 5 or 6 muscle milk (14 oz bottles) weekly and I've been taking Lactaids (9000 FCC Lactase units) before most meals. My friend told me I should consider cutting out dairy out of my diet altogether to help my intestines heal from the damage caused by my celiacs. Basically, I'm looking for a meal plan that I can easily follow while eating at a typical college cafeteria that will enable to me have more energy, add muscle, bulk up, and define my stomach...I know I will have to go to the gym and any advice on workouts (even a detailed work out schedule, if anyone would mind) would be greatly appreciated. I just want to feel healthy and look healthy and have more energy. Thank you!

Cool paleo diet that saved my life!!!

Im 47. 10 years with high blood pressure, migraines, and vision problems... max blood pressure meds day and night, never below 140/90... its genetic. They say... I stumbled on this diet and have been on it for 6 weeks. HOLY $#@*# Im re-connected with reality, blood pressure is at 110/75 and I am at 1/2 meds and working that down further. Light exercise... I have more energy than I know what to do with....Ive lost 20 lbs--235 down to 215.. I recommend this to everyone... Can't argue with me on it... My cardiologist was SHOCKED..... showed me my 10 year case history in his files of pain and gluttony...

I have to SHOUT this out.!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FEEL GREAT!!! NO MORE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE!!!!

Paleo Diet as per me...

NO!!!!!!!! and this means NO:

Really..... it means NOTHING of the following:

Grain or grain products of any kind,

no wheat, corn, rice, oats, cookies, cereal, bread etc....
no beans, peanuts, peas.
no potatoes, sweet or russet
no dairy or cheeses, milk or milk products...
no grain alcohol... no beer... I think taquila works from a cactus...
no sugar(poison) no sugar substitutes(fakes you out and keeps you addicted)
no salt or anything containing salt.
no fatty meats... (paleo man had no grain fattened steak( although I have been eating loads of ribeye and still feel great)

Now, everything else works...

I eat: cantaloup, papaya, banana, apple, orange, grapes and grapefruit, pears, peaches, honey dew, blueberries, cranberries, strawberries, rasberries...
tomato, brocoli, carrots, cilantro, unions, mushrooms, garlic, spices, jalapeno, pepers, avocado, spinach, salads.
lean steak like angus ribeye , chicken, pork, fish, shrimp, scallops, liver, (ALL UN SALTED)
pecans, almonds and almond milk, pistachios, cashews, rasins, dried fruit, coconut, (UNSALTED)

Good Luck and Good Health.

D.

I love the so-called "primal" diet detailed at Marksdailyapple.com. There is a book, but you don't need to buy it to learn the diet (I haven't bought anything).

I feel awesome, I started losing the extra fat that was starting to accumulate (I'm 5'11" and got up to about 175 lbs, but am now losing it). I never have cravings - for the first time, I don't feel like I'm restricting myself.
