Default Workouts, gear, etc for mt Elbrus climb - advice welcomed!

Hi guys and girls.
I'm considering an Elbrus climb in August. And started my fitness routine some time ago. Actually I am in a continuous selection of proper gear (withing the right finances, of course). What I did is start some kind of site (it's blog for now, as it seems easier to work with) to report my progress, get opinions, and of course make friends. I will be very thankful for your comments, advices, anything you can have for me.
Alexander Georgiev - it's pretty empty so far, as I've started it a few days ago, but I'll be adding recent photos of myself, workout reports, as well as what I eat - everything. Trying to get myself motivated and stay motivated to do it. It's an important step to me.
Thanks in advance.....

A few more details about the climb itself would be useful. For instance:
  • Are you starting at the top of the cable car route?
  • Will you be using rock climbing gearharnesses, ropes, etc?
  • If it's more of a hike, how steep is it?
  • What's typical of the weather at the time of year you're going?
  • Do you do it in one day or spend the night on the mountain?

Hi, Kaspian. Thanks for your answer
The climb will be more of a hike style - of course at big altitude and with ice walking (glaciers). No climbing equipment (except connections between the people) will be used afaik.
The weather is really changing and noone can predict it - that's why we have three days for summit climb and wait at upper camps. It will be during the summer, but the weather can go arctic pretty fast - I know that it changes every three days (snow storms and good weather changing), so I'll rely on a good luck to get at least one good day. The hike itself is about 10 days - acclimatisation will be needed. Long walks - sometimes 10-14 hours per day will be taken between camps. And having in mind that I'll have to carry 25+ kilograms of luggage on my back + heavy boots (probably 2 1/2 kg each), and clothes (several layers) - I'll have to improve my endurance.
Thanks

What do you think for the following diet plan (for today this was my eating). I feel pretty stuffed with this, and looks like I cannot eat in such quantities. I am 184 cm tall and currently 82 kilograms heavy. Workout today was abs, legs, cardio:
06:45 - Breakfast: bowl of oats (with milk), raisins added, and some ground seeds (sesame, flax, pumpkin, sunflower)
09:45 - 2nd Breakfast: 400 grams of yoghurt
10:40 - Snack: 1 small apple
13:00 - Lunch: 4 carrots, 3 hard-boiled eggs, 150 grams of white cheese
15:30 - Meal: 400 grams of yoghurt
19:00 - Dinner (35 mins after workout): 250 grams of baked white cabbage, 125 grams of milk curds, 200 grams salad (white cabbage, carrots with some balsamic vinegar and olive oil).

I've been updating my workouts, eating for every day now with some comments on how I felt. Also every Sunday I'm adding pictures to be able to track progress easier.

Altitude sickness at about 5200 m. Extreme headache, dizziness. I decided to give up, because a Korean climber died of something similar while we were there. It's always better to get back from the climb ... to actually be able to get back :-)
