Thumbs up 50 Things That Kill Brain Cells

Hey guys, I wrote a fairly long article that discusses 50 Things That Kill Brain Cells.

I thought you all might be interested in checking it out I'd love to hear some feedback.

Thanks guys,

Hey 4Mind, I left you a comment on your blog. That was quite the ambitious list. I especially liked the ones that referred to poor lifestyle choices that we can avoid.

Of the list, I think the most dangerous are mercury, aspartame (Nutrasweet) and processed foods containing free glutamate of which monosodium glutamate is just one of many. Now hidden by mysterious terms on the food labels. Even so-called "health" foods contain this deadly substance.

Mainly because they are so prevalent, people think they are safe, with the exception of mercury of course, and some people ingest massive amounts of the substances out of habit or sheer ignorance of their dangers.

I didn't read the whole list, since most of it doesn't really apply to me (I'm an exercising, health-conscious vegan), but I really liked what I did read. It's a sharp departure from content that is largely throw-away. So many blogs I see just have nothing interesting or original, and if this article is anything to go by, your blog is a refreshing change from that pattern.

Keep it up!

I'll probably check back to your site at some point, and if the quality seems consistent, I may become a regular reader (although you're competing with the likes of Steve, so you better make sure you're doing your best ).

Postscript

What I especially liked was something mentioned in the comments section of the article:

it’s probably the most comprehensive list I’ve seen on the subject.
It seemed you really "dug deep" instead of only scratching the surface, a concept Steve talked about in his "hard work" and "how to beat the competition" articles.

I also really dig your simple website design. It's influenced me and given me some ideas. Thanks!

Hello 4Mind, I browsed through the list. A highly exhaustive one, I must say!!! For all the hard work that you've put in, I've stumbled the post for you :-)

Love, light and hope,
Evelyn

Thumbs up

Hey Bruce,

I'm glad you liked what you read. I try to pack each post with quality content -- I will definitely keep it up! It was definitely time consuming to do the research to compile that list! I hope to see you back Bruce

Why is it that so few know the efficiency & beauty of hierarchical structuring & classification?
That is the improvement I want to see (like: life-style changes, stupid & obvious facts , new findings).

I think it shows a great degree of research and presentation. But I personally think it lacks in personal value, by the lack of a means to easily attain a plan to "keep ones braincells" which is the intention of the article correct?

Assuming your site is a self help / self improvement site, and your goal is to provide value to your readers. I would personally like to see a list of 25 things that kill brain cells, emphasizing on the top 10 if I don't want to take the time to read all 25 let alone 50. 2/3rds of that list of 50 are irrelevant to even the farthest outliers of your target market. You just aren't going to have meth users browsing your site to harness their brain power. Finish that off with a brief writeup on the most affective ways to preserve our cherished gray matter, and I think you will really have something.

Its over stated, but never the less effective "Keep it simple, Stupid"

Maybe I am off base, but thats my thoughts.
