I've experimented with many of the drugs and herbs mentioned in the article. Many of them have an almost identical "feel" though they may be working through different pathways. Gingko is almost instantaneous, lasts several hours and has no jittery side effects. It is also very cheap and is a powerful anti oxidant. It gives a nice rush and could be taken just for mild pleasure in my opinion. Note the dose is cumulative so you take less and less each day to achieve the same effect. At the moment I take a tiny fragment of one tablet.
St. Johns Wort has a similar effect, though too much can lead to headaches and photosensitivity.
Lemon oil has a revitalising quality to it too, but I found rosemary useless and lavendar makes your room smell like a hospital toilet.

I've been taking Ginkgo for a few weeks now. I've noticed that I've had been thinking a lot more deeply. I'd read Mind Boosters if you want some info on supplements like those (including dosage).

As an avid user of vinpcetine I can say that you will be absoulutely satified with it. Although I personally prefer actual powdered periwinkle, it has 69 more alkaloids than just vinpocetine - even though there is no thorough studies for it yet, I have the feeling that there is more benfits in periwinkle than in just vinpocetine

Just remember that if you do decide to take it you are going to want to take it with meals as that can boost absorbtion of the alkaloids by almost 900%

P.S. (The periwinkle from zooscape.com is where I get my periwinkle powder)
