Who knows how you can measure your metabolism? So how many calories do you burn with doing nothing. I want to increase mine. (Strenghten muscles etc) to increase the average calorie burning when I'm inactive. It would be nice to measure that! Looking for your idea's on how to do that, Peek |

A reputable trainer could put you through a series of tests that would give you a good estimate of how many calories you burn in a day based on body composition etc. You could also use a heartrate monitor for a 24 hour period and see what estimates it gives you. Finally, you could use the BMR calculators for a pretty fair estimate. Those are plentiful and free online. |
