Default Steve; some raw food meal suggestions from a raw foodist

Hi Steve,

Just making my way through your most recent post on the raw food diet. Well done so far, and also, thank you, you are really helping me stick to the diet also. Seeing the pictures of all the vibrant food really boosts my desires to eat this way.

It'd be a real shame in my opinion if you were to go back to your old eating patterns because of lack of variety in the raw food diet because in reality, the lack of variety is caused by the restrictions which you placed on yourself at the beginning of your trial. Before really deciding to ruin all your 30 days of success when the end of the month comes, I would suggest you spend a week trying the raw food diet WITH lots of variety.

Here are some simple and quick meals which I like to prepare:

Buckwheat sprouts, olive oil, sea salt and maybe some avocado. (This hits that spot where you desire a rice dish or a pasta dish. Some people are pro sprouts and some against; for me, I have neither felt that they hinder nor offer me much extra energy, but they do keep me ON the raw food diet generally so for me, they work. Buckwheat has got plenty of rutin in it which is great for circulation.)

Gazpacho: tomatoes, cucumber, red pepper, onion, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and salt (I also add lots of cayenne pepper), a cup of water. Whizz it together and you've got yourself a refreshing raw soup.

Favourite juice: 1 zucchini, 3/4 apples and ginger...SO good!

I will add to this post if I think of more simple and quick meals which I particularly like.
Well done so far!
