I have a small bit of confusion on this. I have read several times that when you take a nap the bes thing to do is complete a full cycle (90 - 110 minutes). However... I have read numerous times as well that a 15 - 30 minute nap is ideal... Like NASA says that 24 minutes is the optimal time... I don't understand which one is the truth, if you do it the shorter way, wouldn't you be waking up in one of the middle sleeping stages and feel like poop? I have done a 30 minutes sleep before and I woke up with quite a bit of energy, so yeah, I'm confused, don't have an answer. So I am hoping someone who knows there stuff can comment. Thanks! |

According to the theory flooting around, you should either sleep not longer than 30 minutes or complete the cycle. The reasoning is that after the first 30 minutes (or 24 minutes (I remember that number alo but it would be great if you would have a link of a source)) the body produces enters a state of sleep where one doesn't awake as fast. |
