I'm a raw foodist, or at least, I'm on my journey there. I absolutely love when someone who has a strong influence over a mass of people speaks about the raw food diet. A few celebrities follow the diet, there was a show on the Tyra Banks show about it (I like Tyra and am personally addicted to America's Next Top Model...the shame!) and now Steve, who is a celebrity without a doubt, blogs about it. I know it is an extreme diet. Most people think vegans are a queer folk because they so go against the norm, so raw foodists, WOAH! So weird! I know, I know! But for every twenty people that say "this is too weird for me" or "give up all cooked food???", there is one that considers the possibilities and goes ahead and tries the diet. Most people who try the diet, stay with it. They may fall off track but they will inevitably come back, because of the buzz this diet gives you, and all the benefits. Right now, I'm on about 90% raw but its a struggle because I am just returning to it after a period of eating 'normally'. My body is still adapting so I don't feel great. This is normal, so I'll sit it through. After a few days, as I know from experience, I will lose weight (though I don't need to), gain energy and best of all, this fog I constantly have in my brain will go. I will need less sleep and I will feel calmer, more confident and more in touch with myself and my surroundings. Right now I feel like a helium balloon, like I could float away because I'm not quite connected. I look at my computer screen as if it were so distant, as if someone else's hands were typing, not mine. This too will go and once again, I'll feel as good as I should feel, as we all should feel on a day to day basis. I'm not gonna lie and say I'm not trying to persuade you all to try this diet. I SO am! Try it, just for two weeks, you'll be hooked! If you need help with it, just send me a message or reply to this post. Over and out. |

I also thought writers were freaks... and certainly people who lived in Las Vegas. | |
