| I'm working 36 hours a week at one job, 8 hours a week in another, and attend school 16 hours a week. Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting January 22, I will be in class and work-study (and doing assignments) from 9am to 5pm. At 5pm, I will be going to work until 2am. Does anyone suggest some natural energy boosters to keep me going after 9pm without disrupting my sleep (as I'm only getting about 6 hours a night if I get off right at 2 and go to bed immediately) or physical addictions? I've thought about energy drinks, and unfortunately caffeine, but I'm not a big fan of either. Any recommendations?

| High grade Spirulina powder made into a smoothie drink with some fruits such as berries and bananas, and milk (use rice milk if you're not into dairy) is an amazing superfood and is recommended as an energy booster. Its rich in iron and amino acids.

| If you can get a prescription for provigil and have insurance that will cover it (my student insurance does, yay me!), it's a wonder drug. I believe it would be fully possible for me to stay awake for 48 hours then sleep for 8, every day; I've certainly done it a few days, when necessary. Otherwise, diet would probably be the biggest change you could make. No meat, no junk food would be a great start. There's a real difference between being "kept awake" versus naturally having higher energy reserves. I definitely have found that my "overall tiredness" level has gone down a lot since being vegan. |
