Default X-phasic sleep experiments: Where do you sleep?

I mean, seriously, where do you sleep?

I´m more than an hour away from my bed when I´m at work, and there is really no opportunity to get an hour or half an hour of sleep in the office, the place is just too open.

Is any of you in a similar situation, and what do you do? Renting a hotel room for half an hour, sleeping on the couch at Starbucks, getting some earplugs and locking yourself in the server room?

I'm not *.phasic yet but just as an idea, I took a similar approach to your bumming on at Starbucks idea. In the building foyer where I work, they have leaver love seats. I actually take very good 20-30 minute naps there when I'm feeling bogged down and I've seen plenty other people sleep there too.

Anywhere I can. Usually I have my car, and can get pretty comfy with my blanket and travel pillow, but I realise that always having a car may be unique to midwestern US residents.

Starbucks if the weather's bad, public park if it's nice out. When I had a private office, I slept under my desk. (My boss didn't like me doing it in the cubicles.

I'm just booking the meeting room, and sleep there, on the floor. If it's taken I nap on the toilet floor with my iPod.

Ummm...most stalls, the bottom part is some and it's REALLY small??? Unless you have one of those washrooms that are for one person only and you can lock the door?

I guess this makes the difference. Personally, I don't mind sleeping in front of other people, so I can sleep anywhere. As long as I've got the iPod handy, that is

Great question!

I'd vote for the car or some quiet spot in the workplace with a sign on it, for 30 minute naps, 90 may be harder.

I'd vote against the toilet stall

I have been surprised at how many people I've just chatted with abt this whole thing have come up with positive responses. I work in the health care profession so can usually actually find something close to a bed (yah, eatcherartsout but there's ups and downs to everything )

At the same time, I wonder whether in more working situations than expected, some trade arrangement might not be possible. This takes creativity anyway doesn't it? So maybe batch up the off time for that and trade offices? or something

Maybe it is better to show you the situation (company logo blurred).
I think there will be problems when the first customer says "Hey, why is there a sleeping man at this desk?".

I see. If the customers can see you, that does change things a bit

Is your entire workplace visible to cusomers, or is there another section you visit occasionally?
