I couldn't find any soy products and the variety of fruits is pretty low. I live in a small town in Poland. I'd love to go vegan but I don't have the resources. Polish people don't seem to know much about diets. My parents were 100% convinced that vegans eat fish to get enough protein and I'm gonna get deadly sick if I drop the meat |

We have a Polish friend, and he showed us a Polish cookbook in which there was a section labelled "Vegetarian" - while the non-veg recipes were purely meat-based, the so-called veg recipes were merely ones that contained vegetables in addition to meat Many European countries are not that veg-friendly unfortunately. But you are not alone in wanting a veg diet... I'm not sure what veg organisations exist in Poland (or other countries), but maybe you can Google to see if there are any that can help with suggestions for what to buy and where to go to buy it! You could also try the UK's Vegetarian Society - they may know of other organisations. If veg food isn't available in your town specifically, maybe you can order some veg things online to be delivered to you? |

I seriously doubt there's any way I could order food with delivery. Firstly, Poland is kinda primitive country. And secondly, even if there is ANY such service, my parents would never pay for it For start, I'll try to work out some nice smoothie concotion with what I have. Maybe going raw is the way? I'll also ask around about international school exams and getting out of country faster but that sounds pretty overwhelming, even for an outstanding student with best english in school I am. Well, it is winter, so it could be that in your town you are limited to whatever is in season. There may be a lot more variety available come spring or summer. If nothing else, you could start a garden once the weather improves.

Well, one thing for sure, there won't be a season for soy products. About a garden though, I live in a flat. Last edited by Ralph; 01-10-2008 at 06:20 AM. Reason: adding signature | |
