I have fasted - usually for one day, but a couple of times for 3. I found it hugely beneficial once the headaches wore off. It is not an easy thing to do, though - but hopefully you'll enjoy the experience and it will at least get you out of the slavish habit of regular meals. Good Luck. |

Why are you fasting for three days? I am thinking of doing the same to get rid of a bit of Christmas excess. I could also do with some uninterrupted work and meal times do interfere with the flow of some tasks.

I am so happy to be getting your support, thankyou kindly. there are a few reasons I am fasting, and I am so happy that my partner and friends are doing it too. I am wanting to cleanse myself,physically,spiritually,emotionally... I am going into deep prayer/meditation I am breaking the pattern of old annoying eating habits. its almost 5pm,I have done ok today,I just kept thinking, and incantating.. ''thankyou God for the strength you are giving me to come through this...thankyou for this cleanse...'' and you know compared to what many people are going through right now,3 days of fast is nothing. so yes ,I have been hungry,no headaches as such,I think I will be more tired than usual later,I am teaching dance tonight, that will be interesting!!! |

I kept saying to myself ''i can handle it'' I feel fuzzy and tired witha headache, but my body feels ok |

this morning I feel much better,I have a headache, though I expected that.on the plus side,I slept extremely well, went to bed before 12 and had a totally undisturbed night of sleep.I dont usually have problems sleeping, though the boys had been ill and were waking up in the night,so my routine had been thrown out.thankfully the boys are feeling better now. i usually do quite alott of fitness,I am only going to do some callanetics later on. got myself a couple of good books from the library ,so going to spend alott of time resting and reading today. only today and tomorrow to go!my partner has been incredibly strong through this,I admired him so much yesterday.like him,I choose to stay positive and upbeat love and blessings elasti xxxxxxxxxxx |

so far I have endured: * sickness * headaches * hot sweats * lethargy * hunger but you know,I am over half way there.I am looking forward to how amazing every bits of fruit will taste on friday morning.I just watched castaway,1 3 day fast compared to going through what tom's character went through, this is nothing! I can handle it.a part of me wishes I was eating tomorrow, however I am also exitedc that all bad habits food wise will be broken and I can do my 30 days fit for life full power and focus. |

well here I am,on the last day of my water fast,I could hardly sleep last night,my thoughts were so positive and creative,I am exited about so many things.tomorrow I will break the fast with fruit...mmmm I love fruit. I feel after this three days,I feel cleansed,I feel focused ,I feel unstoppable. physically of course I have lost some weight and it feels amazing.I know that I am keeping it that way too, this is the beginning of an amazing journey. I noticed yesterday actually that my skin looks incredible, all fresh, and I do look alott fresher.the only thing uncomfortable today is that I feel a little sickly, but that is no big deal, those headaches, they were the hardest. so,yes one more day to go,that is all!!! yey!! |

| elastigirl, Good for you. I have fasted on and of for a long time but only a few days at a time and it wasn't a complete fast, I allowed myself water and fresh juice. I found the second day to be a bit hard. As for the headaches, they are the result of something you ate and are now doing without hence the headache. I gradually cut out most thing that I thought might be the cause of the headaches. Fasting became less uncomfortable. You're brave watching movies. I couldn't and no adverts either. On my own I could do real good but seeing other people with food was torcher. |

| Yeah. It's been a while but I will. I'll take a couple of days to prepare and then I'll do it. I do have water and fresh juice though, so it won't be as strict as yours but I usually do it for four or five days. I'm on my own and it's quite easy for me to fit it in. Admittedly I just chill out a lot with relaxation etc. That helps. |
