Default Raw Foodist Interviews!

Hey everyone, I just got an idea to ask people who are eating a raw food diet to do interviews for our website. We want to reach as many people as possible and educate them about health. It wasn't started out to let people know about raw foods, but as I have been on my own journey, that is what it has evolved into.

If you would be willing to do an interview, just respond to this thread (others here then get to see your responses as well!) or PM me, and I will post interviews periodically on our website. I think people will be very interested in reading what you have to say!

At the end there is an opportunity to put your blog/website URL as well so that you can have traffic come to your site if you'd like.

Thanks for your help. This should be fun to see what you guys answer!

Questions:
Raw Foodist Interview

Tell us a little bit about yourself (3-5 sentences...you can PM this to me if you want).

Are you male or female?

What is your age?

How long have you been eating RAW?

How did you learn about RAW?

What does eating RAW to you mean?

Why did you choose to eat RAW and why do you continue to do so?

How did you transition from SAD to RAW?

Are you a vegetarian or vegan? Why? How does that effect your RAW lifestyle?

What benefits have you personally noticed from eating RAW?

What is your favorite RAW food or recipe?

What advice do you have for others looking into eating RAW?

Is there anything else you would like our readers to know about eating RAW?

Do you have a blog or website you would like to share?

In a couple months I'd be happy to, I just started the raw diet about a week ago though.

I wish i could fill this out and participate but i havnt been able to commit to such a diet yet. I do wish to in the future, and do eat a large amount of raw foods already, just not exclusively yet.

great questions though. I plan to read your results as they grow.

Hey I'm doing a 30 days trial on raw vegan, I'll start tomorrow. So in one month I'll answer your interview
I'll blog about it in details.
And I don't see anything on your site...

Default Steve's Raw Food experiment

Two summers ago I had a raw food chef deliver meals three days a week. It was awesome. I was thinner then I've been as an adult for the last ten years without even trying to lose weight. But he moved away and I'm not so good preparing raw food myself. Plus, I can't really do raw food in the winter--like warm food. But now that it's summer (in New Zealand) I'm eating a lot more fruits and salad and feeling better, as usual. It's a great diet but I don't see myself ever going 100 percent raw because I love my brown rice and tofu too much!

I'm a 50 year old male who was introduced to this food when a friend went raw when I lived in New York ten years ago. I've been living in Auckland, New Zealand for the past six years and met a group of people from Waiheke (a beautiful island in the bay a thirty minute ferry ride away where there is an emphasis on healthy living) wildly enthusiastic about raw food. One of them was a raw food chef who had a delivery business for a while. I don't think the economics of it worked out for him, as much as I loved his food. Too complicated to prepare myself--although on this site I recognize that as an area of personal growth yet to be achieved.

Well, I just read Steve's blog and was blown away. We are on the same "page", that's for sure.

So, to all of you doing the challenge, come back here and we'll interview at the end of the month. Maybe I'll change a few questions to make it more applicable!

Good luck!

Hello there!

I would be happy to fill this out for you. I've been 100% raw vegan for four years. I have experienced TONS of healing in that time. I healed from fibroyalgia, chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, obesity, depression and anxiety and a few other things. Raw really gave me back my life. It is amazing.

I will contact you.

Blessings,

Audrey

A raw chef! What could be better? That sounds like it was wonderful.
