Default Recovering from strep throat/mono/other bad illnesses

I'm just now starting to get over my inevitable post-finals disease. I had a sore throat for about a week and a half, now I'm just really tired, a little nauseous, and can't concentrate. I'm fairly sure that what I had was strep. I'm not working myself very hard at all, but would like to use Christmas break at least somewhat productively. Any post-illness recovery methods that work for you?

Lots of fluids, mainly water, nothing sugary.
Slow, peaceful walks if you feel you have the energy. You need exercise, but don't push yourself too much or you'll just feel worse.
Relax and enjoy this time off.
Make plans with a friend or two to do something you enjoy.
Make sure you are eating "right": plenty of fruits and veggies, light meals (probably best raw as much as possible) no refined sugars or white flour, etc.

I hope you are feeling 100% soon!

For productivity, I don't know what your living situation is, but declutter and straighten up. That usually helps you feel like you have a clean slate (at least it does me). Then sit down and brainstorm some goals for the upcoming semester and reflect of what you've just accomplished.

Happy Holidays!

Thanks!

The nausea is also gone. I found out it's actually from coffee, probably because I went so long without it. I think that's a good thing because it makes me not want it, and I had already decided to cut back on it at least 90%.

I've probably been sleeping too much. I wake up a lot in the night and have been plagued by nerve-wracking nightmares (some of which are reeeeally cool). The other night, I dreamed that I was looking in the mirror, and my reflection was not even me at all, it was a fishnet sack of human eyeballs dangling from the ceiling.

Ewwww! That alone would make me sick to my stomach. I am glad you are feeling better and hope you continue in great health.

I was actually sick Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Blech. I'm better now and more resolved than ever to listen to my own advice.
