Default Probiotics?

Does anyone have any experience using these? Any brands or types you'd reccommend? How did it work for you?

I used some probiotic milk for my daughter's yeast infection recently. She (like me, poor girl!) has a sensitive 'area'. I don't remember the brand (sorry!) but it worked really well. She loved the strawberry flavor too, and it was a bonus that it was PINK MILK! I don't know about drinking it everyday, but it cleared up her problem fairly quickly. A couple days tops.

Probiotic is best come in the form of tablets.

I use it before and i'll explain a bit.

Probiotic is also called the good germs. They help digestions and lots of function in our body. If we are used to eat unhealthy food, these probiotic will slowly finish in our body. So there are now probiotic products.

After taking probiotic, I don't feel tired everyday (more energetic) and I don't get sick easily. I notice I don't have stomach problems too when In started to take it. And it cure bad breath.

I've work in a pharmacy before. There are many brands out there. But beware because there are lots of fake ones. The following list is the way you choose probiotic products:

1. There are up to 7 kinds of good bacteria in probiotic products. Yogurt have about 3 kinds.

2. They have outer protection. Before the probiotic reach the part of body which they should be(I forgotten), they need to go through few strong acid area which they normally will be killed. Having a protection outside is very important.

3. Some claim they have billions in a single tablets. I say it's quite a BS because through the process of manufacturing, most of it will die under pressure and heat. You need to beware and ask how they process it.

4. Store under low temperature. It will die if it's HOT.

I recommend you 2 brands only. OMX and Nutrilite.

I tried both and they have instant effects. Don't take it often. A bottle a year will be good enough!

Consumer Reports rated probiotics at one point, comparing yogurt and pills. They measured activity in terms of "colony forming units" and found that, in general, yogurt contains more colony forming units than pills. It makes sense; active culture yogurt hasn't been heat treated and your growth medium is right there. The pills don't really have much by way of growth medium.

Your probiotics need to reach the large intestine and the stomach is full of hydrochloric acid. However, with a big enough dose, some will survived to colonize the colon even without a protective coating. After all, your colon got colonized naturally without any man made protective coatings on the bacteria when you were a baby. Before there were probiotic pills, my parents dosed me with Dannon yogurt (at the time, the only active culture brand readily available) when I got the runs from taking antibiotics. Cleared up the problem quick.

As it happens, I sell Nutrilite. The Nutrilite probiotic product is called "Intestiflora" and is sold in 30 dose packs for daily use.

I've recently been diagnosed with yeast intolerance through the York test (YORKTEST Laboratories Ltd - Home) which I would highly recommend. Anyway as a result I am taking Biocare's (BioCare - Home) Bio-Acidophius Forte which have had good results along with cutting out yeast in my diet. I would always recommend people see a Nutritional Therapist before adding supplements like this.
