Hey everyone! I just discovered dried edemame (sp??) beans which are a easy lo-cal snack. I wondered if there are any other good suggestions for lo-cal healthy food that were a surprise find, but now you can't live without? |

I eat according to the tenets of Eat Right 4 Your Type. Each blood type has foods that are ideal, neutral and harmful. Even so-called healthy foods could be slowly killing you according to Dr D'Adamo's research. For instance, only Type O should ever eat tomatoes yet people scarf them down. Soy has benefits in moderation but can be extremely harmful in quantity. Milk is only good for Type B. It DOESN'T do a body good if you aren't. For me: spinach, beef, pumpkin seeds, bison, mango, seltzer, cherries, olive oil, flaxseed, adzuki beans, black-eyed peas, collards, broccoli, artichoke, figs, pineapple, ginger tea, green tea, bass, cod, halibut... Delicious smoothie: Into a blender place some frozen cranberries, a scoop or two of high protein whey powder, some rice milk, and blend until smooth. Extra delights if you're into superfoods to add are barley grass powder, wheat grass powder or spirulina powder.

I switched from Snickers bars to raw carrots a couple of years ago. I don't think I could eat a whole Snickers bar without being sick now.

Burger...me want burger. Haha... No, seriously, I like guacamole with all organic ingredients. This includes not only avocados, but tomatoes, chili peppers, salt, and lemon juice. Simple. But awesomely good for you. Eat with anything healthy you want, toasted sprouted grain bread, raw vegetables, "burger", I just love the taste. |
