Default Mad cow?

I have no proof really, I have just noticed some of the symptoms:
muscle spams, lack of muscle control, bad memory, skinny.

I'm under 18 so it's weird to have those things, though I notice that I'm the one that causes most of the muscle spams, probably from lack of exercise and an awkward movement. I have a lack of muscle control, which is weird for my age. I'm pretty clumsy and uncoordinated, though I can play guitar decent, I DJ (requires two hands at once movement), and I type fast. It doesn't help that I always say I have a bad memory.

Also, I don't really have too bad of a memory, I think it's mostly me saying that because I don't pay attention a lot and often forget things I don't care about. I actually have a pretty good memory sometimes. I'll remember very precise details of all things.

Possible explanations include: I stopped being physically active during 8th grade. Even then I was spending a lot of time indoors playing on the computer (I still do). During one summer, I rode around on my bike a lot, this past summer I walked a lot.

I smoke weed sometimes. Very rarely now though, maybe once every 3 months, a very small amount. The most I was ever smoking was roughly twice a week for about a month.

I guess I just wish I could rule out the possibility of mad cow LOL, I'm just scared for some reason. Please feel free to discuss mad cow, or the things I could possibly do to fix my problems.

I found this link on a website:

The Symptoms of Mad Cow Disease

It says, between other things, that only one person in the USA got the disease. So your chances of having it are pretty slim.

But i think you should consult a physician - it's safer than taking your conclusions on what people say in an internet forum regarding serious matters as personal health.

I don't really have sudden nervousness or agressions, not more than anyone else.

No twitching, just some spasms like I said that seemed to be caused by own bad movements.

I have bad posture, I can sit in weird positions and not even notice it. I think everyone does that though.

It's not too bad now that I think about it. LOL. I don't know what I was thinking.

Do you get enough Magnesium in diet ? Frequent muscle spasm ( at night ?) is one of the classic symptoms of Magnesium deficiency. Exercise without proper nutrition could worsen the condition since you 're excreting minerals/Magnesium through sweat.

WHFoods: magnesium

National Academy of Sciences set a tolerable upper limit (UL) on intake of magnesium at 350 milligrams per day ( for supplement ) but the expert at Magnesium-Deficiency Catastrophe: The Magnesium Web Site recommended 6-10mg/KG if there is no significant renal impairment.

Organic or non-organic ?

As per below study, organic bean has 400% more magnesium & 2000% more iron than the non-organic counterpart. So consuming non-organic whole food at regular basis really does not guarantee adequate intake of essential nutrients. I'm not trying to "coerce" everybody to go organic as i dont go 100% organic myself due to inconvenience ( But i do take mineral supplements ocassionally ) . This is just FYI.

Dude, if you're concerned you may have a diagnosable health issue, get thine arse off the internet and into a doctor's office. On this or any other forum, all you're going to get is speculation and a bunch of maybes that almost certainly won't help put your mind at ease. Talking about it with the doctor, who assumedly knows how to ask the right questions and can consider all your symptoms in their proper context, will give you a much better chance at getting a resolution.

And, for what it's worth, the chances of a human getting BSE (mad cow) are very, very slim. Cows are checked so thoroughly for that condition that if there's even a possible chance an infected cow got into a herd somewhere, the entire herd is culled and trade comes to a standstill while they make sure absolutely nothing got into the food supply. You may or may not have some diagnosable condition, but if you do, I'd be extraordinarily surprised if it was BSE.
