Hating on George W. Bush/his administration is somewhat of a pasttime for me. The hits just keep coming. Has anyone seen this: Birth-Control Foe To Run Office on Family Planning And this blog about it: Bush Family Planning Appointee Called Contraceptives Part Of The ‘Culture Of Death’ I am almost speechless. The one thing I can say right now is WTF?!? |

Anyone who is against birth control is obviously deluding themselves that the world's population is not getting too large. It is most likely from the Christian conservative right pro-life anti-abortion people who care about the fetus before it is born so much, but when it is born into a human, it's on its own. I understand it to an extent, but it is funny how many of the pro-life people's daughters have had abortions, but they would never tell you that.

I can understand someone being against abortion. I'm kind of undecided myself. But how the hell can you be against birth control? What does that accomplish. The easiest way to create more suffering is to bring more people into the world than you can support. |

I get that they want everyone to abstain from sex before marriage. While I find it totally unreasonable in the real world, I get the basis. The problem is that they are trying to force everyone to abstain by taking away the services that make it so easy to have "wreckless sex." All this will do is saddle us with more children that will be denied healthcare, end up in poverty and perpetuate the cycle of violence. How do they not get this? I thought the GOP wanted less government intrusion and yet they legislate what we can do with our very bodies. This Orr woman even has a problem with Child Protective Services calling it "the most intrusive arm of social services" and promotes limiting the definitions of abuse and neglect. My main reaction to all of this is to throw up in my mouth a little. I am really scared we are on the verge of living out "The Handmaid's Tale" |

I've been through so many rants in my head since reading your post, aspiring, I can't even think straight now. Quote:
My brain hurts. I know I lack the ability to engage in any sort of intellectual discussion at this point, so just allow me to say they don't get it because they are power-tripping, game-playing, idiots. Idiots deluxe. (Which, BTW Addict, is how you can be against birth control. Be an IDIOT. An idiot who thinks they can wag a finger at teenagers (hell, PEOPLE!) and say, "Now. Don't have sex, y'all! Mmmm-K?") Thank you Bob Dylan. I'm borrowing your lyrics to dedicate to Dubya and his minions Quote:

My best guess at the kind of reasoning behind such actions are that they are made from an idealistic standpoint. In an "ideal" world (according to their views), no one ever has sex outside the marriage and inside the marriage no one ever has sex for other reasons than to procreate. So, in that ideal world birth control measures would not be necessary. It's unfortunate that this group of people fails to see that we are not living in their ideal world. Can't blame 'em really. I'd have trouble seeing too, if I had my head as far up my ass as they have... |

To borrow a phrase from Eric Schwartz, George, "I don't tell you how to pray, so don't you tell me how to screw." UGH. So, I just want to ask this woman if she's willing to pay more taxes to feed the little mouths created because of her asinine views. Or, y'know, we could just let them starve, right? I mean, morality stops when I actually have to do stuff! |

Speaking of religion, he's a lot like Satan in Revelation. He knows he's on his way out, but that doesn't stop him from wreaking havoc because he is no longer doing it to win the battle, but rather for its own sake. Well, maybe not, but I enjoyed saying it. |
