| the deal here is that i spend about 85% of my time on my computer since i have no friends. is this a bad thing ? in the other 15% of time is for eating. but all i do on here is read and read more things. |

| I think it depends on how you feel while you are on the computer. Do you feel like you can't stop, or in some other way compelled to keep looking at the screen? Do you take time to take what you learn here out for a test drive? If you answered yes to the first question, and no to the second, You may be spending too much time online--but only you really know how much is too much.

| It sounds like it is probably too much time spent in information input and too little in action output. The issue is not necessarily the computer, but the activity the computer is used for. If you were writing or programming or creating art on the computer, this would be an action output. If you cut back on your computer time and spent more time reading books, you'd just shift to another form of information input. There needs to be some balance.

Now, if you like not having friends, there is nothing wrong with this situation. You should understand that if you are happy the way you are now, nothing has to change. But if spending all your time behind the screen or eating isn't all that satisfying, you might want to go out more...
