| I mean, this song/or songs, has to be awesome. Has to push you beyond your limits and make you feel AMAZING. or give you that little push you need to go that extra distance or speed. or start you off to a great run in the morning or whenever. or just motivate/inspire you in general. I'm not sure what mine is, well yet!! |

| Two of my favourite running songs are unusual as they're remixes of not too familiar Pet Shop Boys tracks. Coincidentsally they are both about 10 minutes long and on the same album, a 2CD set limited edition of the album 'Billingual' http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bilingual-Pe.../dp/B000006U16 Red Letter Day (trouser enthusiasts autoerotic decapitation mix) and Discoteca (trouser enthusiasts adventure beyond the stellar empire mix) The latter as a real long extended intro and builds and builds so it's great for running. It always reminds me of being at the start at the London Marathon and then time it takes to cross the start line once the guns goes off.

| I'm into heavy metal and hardcore stuff when I run. The hard edge of the music gets me energized. My musical tastes run nearly the full gammet, though, so this might not be for everyone: Frayed Ends of Sanity and ...And Justice for All - Metallica Heirate Mich - Rammstein Two Minutes to Midnight - Iron Maiden Thunder Kiss '65 or More Human Than Human - White Zombie

| I don't run, but to do Nordic Walking, the best song for that is the A-ha song "I've Been Losing You" it is something in the rythm that makes that song almost hypnotic and you easily fall into the rythm of it and walk in tune and in the end it is like trance music...wonderfull if you deconnect all thoughs you have in your day to day life, and who would not like to fall into trance with the voice of Morten Harket??? Love Leelene

| I used to use my MP3 player when I ran and then one day it died on me and I found myself running in silence for a couple miles. Then I found my mind wandering and then I started coming up with thoughts and ideas for issues I'd been having. If you've never done it, find a good quiet trail, and run there. You may be amazed at what pops into your head. |

| I ove unning to Rihanna and some upbeat disco as well as Breaking Benjamin and other aternative rock =) Sure gets you going!

| I lost the connection wire to add new music to my MP3 player, so I listen to the same songs over and over again: In My Town by Bruce Cockburn RocketLauncher by Bruce Cockburn Pacing the Cage by Bruce Cockburn Last Night of the World by Bruce Cockburn and a whole bunch of songs by Jackson Browne Now if I happen to hear any of those songs on the radio or something, I feel like I have to start running!! |

| Lately it's been anything by The Prodigy and traditionally I've always listens to something with a fast enough beat. I think a song whose beat resonates with your own running tempo (i.e. how fast or slow you're running) works best. |

| I dont normally listen to music when I run, as I prefer to think. However, I am always motivated to go for a run when I watch the Forest Gump scene were he is running to the music to Jackson Browne's Running on Empty.
