Default Speedsleep and power naps

I'm curious about investing in power naps as an aid to reducing my time spent sleeping at night. I'm wondering, first, about the viability of that as a partial supplement (say I sleep 7 hours now, I want to reduce that to 6 hours and take a single power nap as necessary). Second, I'm wondering if speedsleep (.com) is a good resource to start this process, has anyone used this particular resource?

Thanks,
Daniel

I take powernaps during the day of 10 -20m duration but find that I just sleep more in a 24 hour period, not less. I think it becomes a substitute for feeling bored.

I haven't tried Speedsleep, but I've heard very good things about Pzizz (pzizz.com). As for reducing your overall sleep time, I've cut down from 7.5 to 6 hours simply by switching to biphasic sleeping (in my case I began with a 90 minute nap and 4.5 hours' core sleep).

It's great, but it does require a 90 minute (although this gradually comes down to 75 or so) break in your schedule. Are you able to take a break this long, or perhaps a couple of shorter ones?
