The one that says that for every calorie we ingest, we must either wear it or use it? There's a lot about reality that I'm discovering now is not rigid, but rather more flexible that first taught. I wonder how this can also be applied to things we learned about physics, and the body. also btw, rhonda byrne from the secret, said that modifying her thinking resulted in her maintaining her ideal weight no matter what. wonder if this is because her habits changed, or because of a metaphysical explanation? I see how I can apply this to sleep- I used to sleep whatever I wanted and not feel tired, until I started reading health and nutrition books. When I held the belief that I NEEDED 9 hours of sleep, that it was. But releasing that belief again, and I can be more flexible with sleep, and feel just fine. Wonder if the same thing applies to diet? Last edited by Adelina; 09-25-2007 at 03:52 AM. |

I really don't think calories in=calories out is such a good philosophy. You have to focus largely on what type of food you're eating, especially if you want be healthy and not just maintain your weight.

Hi Adelina, I've been trying for many years to lose weight ingesting less calories than I burnt. I tried various diets, learnt a lot about healthy food, exercised with a personal trainer, had 6 healthy meals a day and drank a lot of water... and it didn't work at all. My fat ratio even increased, although I was burning more calories than I ingested. (no, not extremely more...) Then I canceld the gym, threw away the scale and all books about healthy nutrition and weight loss. I worked with EFT on some emotional issues I had about being fat/thin and then used the LoA to visualize myself thin. I did this until I really FELT thin and not fat any more. And now, I don't exercise, I don't care about how much, how often or what type of food I eat... and I'm constantly losing weight So I would say: YES, it's possible. I don't believe in the calorie theory at all any more! I think your body wants to be thin and healthy. In nature a fat person would not survive very long. You just have to allow your body to lose weight at last. As long as you see yourself as an overweight person, you'll stay overweight. Feel thin, you'll be thin |

Thanks, just wondering, bc after transitioning from omnivore to vegetarian, I became really careful about calories in order to maintain weight. now that my diet is stable in veg, not sure if I should still take note of calories, or release that theory altogether? next.. it would be really cool to be a breatharian! so, is it that humans need to eat, or simply that we think we need to?! haha. |
