| It's just how it is. I'm young and have slow facial hair as well, but it's nice not having to shave everyday yet. Just like once a week maybe. I'm sure it wont last long, so enjoy it while you can. It seems the more you shave, the faster and thinker it grows in.

funny response: my goatee race video (goatee armageddon) Jumpcut - Goatee Armageddon: Chinpocalypse Now! serious response: my facial hair also grows slow, so in preparation for doing this goatee race i consulted some deiticians, nurses ect. Their advice was to take prenatal vitamins once a day, and vitamin E pills. Having these extra vitamins above your normal daily intake will help your facial hair grow faster. it did help me considerably, but if you watch the video (parts 1-3) you'll see that even with the help of vitamins some peoples facial just simply grows far faster than others. hope this helps. |

| My facial hair grows fast. I need to shave every day, and could probably shave twice a day without much trouble. I've noticed that my facial hair grows faster when I'm lazy, like just sitting at home in front of the computer or sleeping a lot. While when I'm expending a lot of energy it will grow slower, like when I was sailing for ten days in a row on a small boat. My guess is that the body just conserves energy for other more vital functions when you're working hard, so hair grows slower. Though I've got no proof of this. I'm not suggesting you become lazy though. |

| As mentioned in another thread, facial hair comes easier for some than others. I'm Italian and quite hairy, so I started shaving when I was 14. After a while, it seemed that the more I shaved, the thicker it grew back in. Some people say that shaving stimulates hair growth, while others say that is an old wives tale. All I know is that by the time I was 16, I needed to shave daily. A sixteen year old kid with a four-o-clock shadow looks rather odd, but not as bad as I would have with a Grizzley Adams beard. If you do want your facial hair to start growing thicker, you might want to just start shaving daily. You will notice that it will come in thicker during the full moon. |

| when i went raw vegan the growth rate of my facial hair cut at least in half. thats something to chew on. and i was eating lots of meat directly before i went raw vegan (literally the day before) all this talk about wanting to grow up faster and to age faster is kinda silly. i understand wanting facial hair (i am awaiting my wise man beard myself), but the faster our metabolisms, and the faster our facial hair comes in, the faster we will age. and we all know what happens when we age. |
