| Right now I'm a 16 year-old high school student. I'm 5 feet and 8 or 9 inches. Now, this is pretty short, and it's somewhat difficult to find pants in my size. Does anyone know about what time people tend to be fully grown? I've never really experienced a "growth spurt," although I've grown somewhat more rapidly over recent years. Is it possible that I still have a decent amount more to grow before I'm fully grown, or is that just a pipe dream? Is there anything I can do to encourage my body to grow a little extra? |

| From Wikipedia... "Human girls continue to grow physically until around the age of 18, and human boys until around age 21." Quote:

However at 5'8" you are average so you should be quite satisfied with that... . |

| What does "good nutrition" mean? I eat a salad every day and get plenty of protein. One thing I don't do that people tend to recommend is eat breakfast. Should I start doing that? I feel perfectly satisfied during the day without eating breakfast, and I don't feel hungry at lunchtime when I do. I've never seen much of a reason to eat breakfast, but if it'll help me get taller... |

| Good nutrition means to give your body all the elements that it needs... and the best way to do that is to try to eat a variety of nutriment... however, as far as growth is concerned, it does not matters very much when you eat those nutriments... Some people say that breakfast is the most important meal... that would be because it could give you more energy for the day ahead... however it will certainly not affect your growth pattern... . |

| You are only 16, you still can grow an inch or two I reckon. You can try hanging daily from a chinup bar or something similar to stretch yourself to get taller, its not proven technique but I don't think it will hurt.

So, yeah. EAT THE ******** BREAKFAST. After you had your sleep, your body is in a catabolic state (breaking down muscle), because it hasn't received food in the last 7+ hours. Something you don't want when you're trying to get into an optimal state for growth Eat the veggies, fruit, and a buttload of other stuff. My philosophy: If you're not gaining weight (muscle), you're not eating enough ;P |
