Default Tuumble! How about an update...

When I saw Angela mention she hadn't seen you around in a while, I remembered you were having a tough go a while back. I hope things are going better for you. Care to give an update? If not, I totally understand, and I wish you well!

Hi ATC!

Sorry, I've literally only just seen this. I've not been ignoring you.

To give you an up date I shall say this. The last 2 weeks have been very difficult especially for my wife as we had pennies and she had to keep 3 children under 9 amused and she's done a sterling job.

Last week I called in a couple of favours and got an advance on a bonus I'm due and have got ourselves on a far more stable footing. I can't say I enjoyed admitting to our position that but I swallowed my pride and just did it. It wasn't so bad and not worth the stress.

As I've said, life is cyclical and I did what I did for the right reason. We were down but now we can look up. It is only a matter of time before all the children are at school and my wife can work again (she's already had interviews) so we are more confident about the future.

I've had rave reviews at work for the latest issue of the company magazine I put together so while I still don't intend to stay too long it's not the horror it once was. I still have a number of job opps in the wings so I'll keep you posted.

I also entered my script into a competition rather than leave it in the drawer for another year. It's already been there since 2005 so I dug it out, polished it up, and sent it. Let's see where it takes me.

ATC, thanks for thinking of me - I may have been quiet but I wasn't away. I still intend this being my best August ever. That's what being positive is all about.

I am glad to hear things are looking up. You seem to have a very positive attitude which I am sure will serve you well.

I thought about you and your family a few times after I read your initial post and was hoping that things were looking up. I will continue to send all my best intentions your way and look forward to some exciting and prosperous news very soon.

Good luck with your script and congrats on the raves for your issue of the company magazine. That's promising and encouraging!

All my best.

ETA: You're wife deserves a medal!
