Steve Rodgman is on a distinguished road
Wink Greetings from Vancouver, Canada

Hi All,

I've just registered here and wanting to say hi: "Hi!"

I'm Steve from Vancouver, Canada. Like Steve Pavlina, I'm also an Aries; however, my rising sign is Capricorn -- giving me a nice mix of the two (not sure what Steve's rising sign is).

Currently I'm a political science undergraduate at Simon Fraser University, just outside of Vancouver here. My focus is Eurasian politics (transitionary politics) -- which will be the overarching theme of my honours that I will be writing in a couple of semesters.

Many of my core interests include politics, journalism (and writing), sustainable development, veganism, personal growth and spiritualism.

Relating to the site, it seems personal development has always been a key interest of mine. I'm always working on improving myself. I have a tremendous personal awareness and an ability to observe and learn from my actions. I also have an avid ability to learn and experience through others; I absorb 'things' around me like a sponge.

In the past I have often felt as if I have this gift to be able to see the world so clearly: 'everything' is just so obvious to me. I've often felt odd at why others can't see and understand what I see. It has been a burden as I've had a hard time relating to others; I've never met anyone as 'advanced' as I am. (I'm sorry if that confuses anyone -- it's hard to articulate to those who don't already understand.)

Just recently actually, as I uncover more layers of the 'ultimate truth' about the universe, the pieces of the puzzle are fitting together and I'm feeling more and more complete with myself and more at peace. It's as if each day is becoming wholly blissful and joyous; and the past and future, less and less important. I'm not there 100%, but I feel it often.

Along with browsing the forums so far, I've been a dedicated reader of Steve's blog for over a year and a bit now. Over the past couple of months I have also started reading Erin's site. I'm subscribed to both.

I'm looking forward to sharing in the experience here: I hope to offer any clarity and help I can to others; as well as learn from the wider expertise of the entire forums community.

Together in the universe we are all connected and one in the same. Each person and event you encounter, in fact, carries with it a previous gift -- big or small -- that is to help you achieve your goals. Now if you'd only accept and be grateful for these gifts, you’d be taking the first steps to living the life of your dreams and feeling the eternal joy that was always there to begin with.

Steve

Ah ha! Very cool. Where are your roots? I'm actually UK origin (boring!! lol). My heritage goes back at least two or three Canadian generations though.

When it comes to Eurasia there is just something that I love about Russia, the Soviet Union, and the ensuing post-Soviet world. Granted it was horrible and the effects of it are felt today, I find the region to be so mystical and intriguing.

Anyway, thanks for the hello!
