Default Hello!

Hello!

I'm 30 years old. I live in Avesnes, north of France, near the Belgian border.

For the last six months, I'm in front of one of the crossroads of my life. A moment when a little voice whispers in your head that what you live is not what you truly want. Then, you can chose to listen or not, but if you do, you have to draw all the conclusions and change even if it seems hard and painful.

That started when I began to feel bored with my job (I was working as auditor for KPMG). I knew already that this job corresponded neither to my personal values nor to what I wanted to do but I refused to accept the consequences and tried to fool myself with bad arguments such as “this work represents the material safety to which you aspire or “You need the money this job gets you”.

But, suddenly, the voice instead of letting me fall down again in a soft and misleading torpor, became louder and this job which had given me more or less satisfaction for the last 5 year, lost all interest and attractiveness. It had become more and more difficult just to get up in the morning. My mood and my moral dropped sharply.

In August 2006, learning that my girlfriend was pregnant (my first son was born May 7, 2007) I felt like a shock, a revelation of the urgency of my situation. I had to react quickly. I resigned from my job in October without having found a new job but with the firm intention to take in hand my destiny.

I found Steve's blog while I was searching for advices about personal development. Now I read him everyday. Thanks to him, I learn how to master my fears and discover my own motivations.

I usually thought, more by pliancy than self awareness, I was shy and passive but now I know I'm a social man seeking for action and communication. I am about to become parliamentary attaché to the service of a deputy (member of the French Parliament) My objectives are to acquire experiment in the political field, to develop my self confidence and to build a relational network. I will stand at the elections of my city council next year.

I'm aware now that I'm on earth in order to accomplish great things and not only to live a decent and secure life. I will never let my little interior voice die out.

My goal and motto : Become a better Human!
