"Lifeboat" forum available

I have secured a website that ALL Pavlina "refugees" may join. It is a website that each member will need to participate in cleaning up, moderating and maintaining, but it WILL be a place to go for those who have no alternatives.

I will make the information widely available when the forum is ready: I have tons of work to do to clear up the Administrator's board.

I do this for Love.

I do this because I CAN.

This is the website:

Halfway - Index

Those interested should copy this URL or place it on your 'favorites' list. I will announce when is it available. DO NOT ATTEMPT to register now, as you'll only make my life harder than it already is.

I am working to get the site ready for members to join late tonight. I am now administrator.

royster 12-22-2011 09:49 PM

Anyone wanting to join may now try to do so. I set the registration on Instant. This means you should be allowed in as soon as you finish the registration process.

royster 12-23-2011 04:47 AM

Registration is set at "activate", which means I need to approve of your registration. This is because immediately I was chasing away spammers before i could even mop the floor.

The site does not send me an e-mail when new registrants sign up, so please be patient.

Yes: it's from Oceanfalls, British Columbia, and it is a point CALLED "Half Past". The originator of the website lives there (in Oceanfalls)...hence the "Oceanfalls.org" in the URL.

He's an interesting guy, and his story is on the website. The site was an experiment, of sorts, and also a refuge from when another website went down, the original "WhatReallyHappened?", which is nothing like the WRH that exists today.

Part of the "experiment" was to let anybody post anything without too much interferance. It was a philosophy a few abused, and it slowly smothered the site to the point that Opetero totally lost interest and abandoned it. It no longer challenged his thinking because people just got so low there was nothing to discuss. That's why I left the site, and essentially came here. I later returned to try and resume, but the disruptive members were too much resistance to intelligent exchange. I kept my account because most of my essays and spiritual~metaphysical stuff is there, and I wanted to transfer it to my own site...the sister-site, Halfpast.

When Pavlina forums announced it was shutting down, I asked for Administration rights to Halfway, and Opetero gladly gave them to me.

Ocean Falls is extremely beautiful, from the pictures he's posted on the site.

The bandwidth is not expensive and both Opetero and I have paid for it in perpetuity, essentially, so there are no dues or donations asked.

Those who have electronically registered at either website need to PM me with the username they've registered: this will expedite the approval of your account, because it helps me sort through all the spam registrants...they are particularly bad on Halfway.

I remind all Pavlina members that everybody is welcome at Halfway, regardless of personal interests, except known trouble-makers and trolls. The site is provided free of charge, and may be used as a temporary lifeboat, or you may stay and set up shop there. Members are encouraged to start new threads and suggest new boards. As well, they are welcome to copy/paste non-copyrighted material from the Pavlina forums to post at Halfway. THERE IS NO MEMBER LIMIT AT HALFWAY. The site can accomodate several hundred members.

We are in need of moderators on Halfway.

Halfpast is the hybrid of the two sites, and a member limit of 150 has been set.

Halfway - Index

At present, I have cleared all registrant applications. You might need to re-register. In doing so, PLEASE PM me to inform me of your username. Thanks
