Please, if you run across any nasty, hurtful postings directed at current or former community members, hit the report button. I don't think there's going to be much general moderating at this point, but it would be good to zap that stuff.

A few people have decided that since the forums are shutting down, it's okay to be complete arseholes and be as mean and hurtful as possible. I deleted several such posts today, in fact. They were totally unnecessary, and just mean-spirited.

Also, Steve has indicated that he's going to attempt to keep the forums online, and inactive, at least for a while. Some people may not care, but there are those of us who would like to see what's left of this community archived without that sort of thing in the most recent postings.

Okay, nevermind. I don't have mod abilities any more, so I won't be deleting anything. Maybe some people still have the ability to do that, though.

I understand. I'm just joking around although I don't doubt that this place is a breeding ground of suppressed emotions.

I discovered the same earlier today. If you see anyone doing that sort of thing, please report the post, and I'll take care of it. If it gets out of hand, I'll shut the forums down earlier rather than later. I wanted to give people sufficient time to wrap things up, but if they'd rather try to trash the place, no point in keeping the door open.

I'm already progressively shutting things down anyway, such as by setting all existing mods back to regular member status.
